The Daily recap of Shane’s Auction Picks, the 16th of December
It’s amazing the amount of people that vigorously deny things that happen right in front of them. You would think at some point they would throw their hands in the air and surrender, they’d say ” you know what? I have no idea what I’m talking about, no idea what’s happening and I will stop pretending that I do.”
I’m not offended by stupidity but it’s certainly irritating. I don’t think anyone has all the answers, we have no crystal ball. What we do have is years of slow trends followed by months of rapid upward trending of shorts and numerics.
One extension after the other falls, lengths increase, people are shocked like they had no idea it was coming. They watch unpopular extensions become popular, prices rise, new extensions become popular, the whole time shaking they’re heads saying “what a bunch of hype and bull shit”. Some even blame individuals for hyping the market to drive prices, lol, please stop influencing a billion non English speaking people that all apparently get there news and information from domain blogs only.
I really don’t care what people do, in fact I hope lots of westerner domainers stick with dot com words. If you are going to vocally deny the current reality you should probably get “Douche” tattooed on your forehead. This will serve as a daily reminder just in case you’re naturally forgetful or have zero self awareness.
I’m joking don’t get that tattooed on your forehead, a shoulder will do, possibly the small of your back. A douche tramp stamp might be just the thing you need.
Lol Merry Christmas, I’m being a little factitious, my hope is that maybe someone will reevaluate the way they look at things and maybe take time for self reflection. It’s a good thing to do. If I’ve offended anyone man up, and follow Tim’s advice, cuz it’s not personal.
4Ink.com I am not a fan of numbers representing words but I actually like this one for a tattoo shop
511 USD It would indeed look good on a sign, billboard or business card. Short and Easy to remember
A1J.com These have doubled in price this year. 16 years old
698 USD A1 is an all around good letter number combo, it has a positive connotation.
Dippl.com Are we still doing the drop the ending thing? One bidder at $12
108 USD We’ll drop the ending for just over $100 bucks. It kinda works I think
OIM.net LLL.nets are killing it. Regardless of letters
1,775 USD, Its pronounceable, sounds British
STTP.com Best CHiP on the board today…….so far
2,570 USD Stone Tiki Temple Pilots, RIP Scott Weiland
MLKV.com Martin Luther King Ventures. Although I’m pretty sure you can’t just use MLKs name for anything you want
FoodTruck.net If your town is anything like mine you’re seeing an influx of food trucks. It’s not quite Austin here yet but getting close. Great name, even as a dot net
1,526 USD, lost a grand in a couple of years. Sold for 2,500 USD in 2013
88GB.com 88 and any two letters has a lot of value
570 USD Yes they do. Nice
BCZW.com I was told yesterday that I am wasting pixels by putting all the numerics and 4L.coms up so I will group these together since I think they are of comparable value. Just trying to save pixels you know. But go ahead and buy the group, you’ll do fine IMO
Gayatri.com When I lived in boys town in Chicago a lot of guys told me I should give this
4,000 USD, I thought this was Gay Atari at first. Gayatri (Sanskrit: gāyatrī) is the feminine form of gāyatra, a Sanskrit word for a song or a hymn, having a Vedic meter of three padas, or lines, of eight syllables. In particular, it refers to the Gayatri Mantra and the Goddess Gāyatrī as that mantra personified. OHHHH that’s what it is.
VZXO.com, Another group of similar valued LLLL.com Again, you should buy all of them.
310 USD Not too much V love here
IsGreen.com Just proves that pretty much any word combined with Green is worth $200 plus
809 USD Bonus Points if it’s a short word with Green, it does kinda of make sense for a Brand, is Green, well maybe. Hey what do you know, Get the past tense WasGreen.com for reg fee, it’s available. It’s gotta be worth $200 at least.
CQHHH.com Triple repeating 5L.com is holding steady in that $200 range…………usually. It’s actually all over the board
105 USD, someone got a bargain
XL22.com, And here is a group of LLNN.com that are all good investments in my opinion. Not saying sell your car and buy them. Just saying it would be good to put a group of them as part of your investment portfolio
246 USD Perfect domain to sell Extra Large 22 rimfire bullets.
246 USD Salad information isn’t worth as much anymore.
317367.com I don’t know if this one has gonorrhea or something but only one bidder at $10
152 USD Depends on the day, You could probably sell it tomorrow for 250 at least
DailyProxies.com Solid name for a proxy server site. I miss HideMyAss. An easy to use proxy server site will always get mad traffic
Unsold, What happened to hide my ass?
MrBN.com Much better than being called Mr. BM. A CHiP so its going to do well. Really good English acronym which raises its value
Today Mr Bunny Nuts, Mr Big Nose, Mr Bike Narc, Mr Butt Nasty and so on.
Upset.net When I first started out I bought a lot of names that rhymed because I thought they would be memorable. They did end up selling better than average
370 USD Could be a Stress Relief site, Maybe something to do with sports.
