CHINESE SALES TRENDS FOR MARCH 8, 2016

Whoops – got a haircut today, and it threw my whole day off.  I almost forgot about you guys.  Well, we were waiting for March to see what the post-new year would bring, and so far it isn’t much.  It certainly seems like we are seeing a gradual deterioration in 4L and 4I prices.  Here are the reported 4I.com sales for today.

hqgp.com = $1,811
rkwh.com – $1,811
fpyj.com – $1,811
kytm.com – $1,811
xlfz.com -$1,843
qpbs.com – $1,894
xjxs.com – $1,826
nzdj.com – $1,980
pwzr.com – $1,843

I’m surprised that xjxs.com didn’t beat all of the others.  The first four of these were sold by the same person.  These prices are about in line with yesterdays CHIP average on U.S. based auction sites.  So where are things headed longer term?  I wish I knew. Feel free to speculate in the comments below.

  1. Well I think the first observation is that the vocal commentators have gone quiet. There is not much talk or discussion on any slowdown and decline in volumes or sales prices. It’s pretty much the sound of crickets…

    People obviously don’t want to discuss what is happening. Maybe like me some are in the early stages of denial and have some trepidation on what may come if people start to talk openly.

    I think it is clear to see that things have slowed. Volumes have dropped. Sale prices on most segments have dropped. I think that it is fair representation of the Data that is available from multiple sources. Public and Non Public and my Own Sales.

    For my own sales, I have gone from selling an average of 21 ( 4&5 N&L ‘s) per month from Sept-Jan, to 3 in Feb and 1 so far in March.  I went crazy in December and bought 30 plus 4L CHIPS and 20 5N names of similar quality during this same period. My purchase costs have now exceeded my sales. Ohhhh the pain, the pain..
