Domain Flips (Mortgage.info, IXA.com, 342222.com) and Flops (JBF.net, 06062.com, FoodTruck.net)

Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.

Flips

Mortgage.info sold for 35,000 USD recently at PlentyOfBrands, vs 18,900 USD on 2013-08-07 at Flippa. Very nice sale; I saw this re-listed at Flippa earlier this year, but the bidding didn’t get nearly up to the $19k it sold for previously, so kudos to the seller for hustling a little. The new owner is Justin McHood of Scottsdale, and you can see he has started work on the domain, with its screenshot below. He also appears to be the owner of related domains such as HomeMakeoverLoans.com, NonQualifiedLoan.com, Subprime-Mortgage.com, MortgageRateInfo.com, and dozens more.

IXA.com sold for 42,000 USD recently at NameJet, vs 18,000 USD on 2015-07-19 at Heritage Auctions.

342222.com sold for 3,163 USD recently at 4.CN, vs 318 USD on 2014-06-21 at GoDaddy.

BSCF.com sold for 3,309 USD recently at NameJet, vs 1,422 USD on 2015-03-27 at NameJet. The letters are friendly to the east and west…..and it went to the east…Hu Weishing, who added it to his collection of 30,000+ other domains.

HNSW.com sold for 3,220 USD recently at NameJet, vs 988 USD on 2015-05-09 at NameJet. Same buyer as above.

HCFB.com sold for 2,700 USD recently at NameJet, vs 730 USD on 2015-08-24 at NameJet. This one is under privacy protection.

Flops

JBF.net sold for 3,550 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 15,388 USD on 2009-01-21 at Afternic. This must have been an end user acquisition back in 2009, but I don’t see any historical screenshots at Archive.org.

UZ8.com sold for 2,500 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,249 USD on 2015-09-29 at Sedo. Quick flip gone awry. Loss of a little over $100 after commissions.

06062.com sold for 2,020 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,195 USD on 2015-11-06 at Sedo. Similar to the above. Think quick flips are easy?

FoodTruck.net sold for 1,526 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 2,500 USD on 2013-10-13 at Afternic. Short .net’s are doing well. Keywords, now that’s another matter.

SUP.biz sold for 149 USD recently at NameJet, vs 1,000 USD on 2011-01-10 at Sedo.
