Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for December 27th, 2017

Escrow.com

Travis and I were starting to work on building out GeneticTest.com over the last few weeks but like many projects, got pushed back for some other projects that need to be addressed first.  I had been waiting to buy a genetic test until we got it built out but since its delayed, I asked for one for Christmas. I told too many people so I received a few of them.  Mine will be interesting because we have some adoptions and step parents over the last generations to throw some question marks into my heritage.   While I may not look it, I am of Cuban decent.   Or at least that is what I am told.  I have not met my Cuban grandfather but I should be able to see him in the test.  Your past is like Internet information.  Much of it is story and not truth.  Every time its passed to the next person it changes a little.  Your DNA doesn’t lie.

I have two goals this week.  One to spit into a vial and send it off.  And to clean up the portfolio a little.  I have some names that have no resale value and were registered for projects that had 99% chance of not happening.  Getting rid of some 6Ns and these names will get my portfolio down about 10%.  The quality will go way up.  I also need to double check my prices across multiple listings to make sure they match and make sure they all lead to somewhere that gives them a chance to buy.   IE get my domain shit together.  Starts today   Here are today’s names. They don’t work unless you click on them

All names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. These tests can be fun but may not tell you your complete heritage.

It’s possible to have 2 siblings and one gets genetic markers while the other doesn’t. So a brother will show Cuban heritage, the sister will not. You can have the same parents but show wildly different backgrounds.

DNA is wacky but these test can also be wildly inaccurate. Maybe getting so many will average it out Shane. 🙂

  2. What would you say is the best setup for domain landers Shane? I find inquiry forms don’t quite cut it as there is a percent that would prefer simply buy the domain outright as they’re too shy or don’t want to bother negotiating but then of course there is the possibility of a lost opportunity. You use any landers for buy it now pages?

  3. .
    Shane Cultra DNA results:
    30% Family man
    20% Farmer
    20% Domainer
    10% Runner
    9% Sherpa
    4% Cuban
    4% Illinoisian
    1% Domain Funnyman
    1% Crypto Investor
    1% Insane

Oh wait … scrap all that .. you’re actually:
    100% VEGAN !!! lol

  4. Can anyone tell me what is going on with Uniregistry.
I’ve called for 2 days since Christmas and keep getting the “After Hours” support.
I have over 1000 domains with Uni.
No one or my agent will return my calls.
    NOT GOOD!

      1. Ok, thanks Shane.
        I’ll let you know.
I’m not saying I’m in the league with you, Berkins, The Domain King, Drew, Frank, etc. and need special attention … just don’t want to be ignored.
        Thanks

    1. Oops, sorry, I meant to say I have over 100 domains with Uni.
If I had over 1000, 900 would be reg fee trash 🙂

  5. I like terb.com but I don’t see any potential buyers so I didn’t bid on it yesterday. The first time it sold for $1,765 in 2016, the second time was in July, 2917 at $1,600 and now the owner pushed it Godaddy public auction but it wasn’t sold because of too high reserve.
