Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, December 18th, 2017

Escrow.com

For those of you that think that the opportunities in domain investing and flipping have lessoned I couldn’t disagree more.  I received an email last week that reminds me that there are still those that are hustling and making great returns flipping names. I had someone say they bought a name off my list for roughly $1500 and put it back up for auction where it sold for $7100.  He did the same thing with an $80 and sold it for $2000.  I can verify it because I know the names. The simple business model of buying a name, advertising it here, and selling it for more.  Obviously this is a push for advertising on our list but regardless of how you do it, the business model is the same.  Buy a name and then get more publicity for that name then it got in the first auction.  It’s being done.  And done well.    Learning what auction houses get better prices for certain types of names is the key.  Pay attention to Travis’ sale results, NameBio and ShortNames.com and you’ll see the opportunity eventually.  Here are today’s names. They don’t work if you don’t click on them

ll names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. I have to ask. Your investment in LTC has more than quadrupled in a matter of weeks/months. Are you tempted or have you added to your crypto investments since?

    1. Tony,

I put this on twitter but I will put it here too. I actually took out my original investment plus 88 cents for good luck. Essentially leaving me a free bitcoin. I took the money out and put it in the bank. Then I took
$5K of it and put it into Nike Jan 19th 62.50 calls. I am up 100% on those. My goal was to get a four bagger when earnings come out this week on Thursday. Sell it and buy another bitcoin. Thats the plan. Maybe Nike’s earnings are bad and I lose or maybe they are good and I make $15K. The bitcoin story is good but I can make a lot more than bitcoin can trading options. Of course the risk is much greater. I turned 2K into 125K in one year back in the late 2000s. It was $250K at one point but made a bad trade and lost $100K in 10 minutes. Got killed in taxes but that money allowed me to have a lot of fun over 5 years before I got into domains.

In short. I did very well, now I have nothing to lose and an opportunity to make even better returns than crypto

      1. Well now that you’re flooded with capital .. I’ll gladly sell you:
Swamp–Land–In–Florida.com for only a million dollars (I originally bought it off of Adam Strong)! 😉

  2. .
Yup .. Tons of great flipping opportunities at all levels. I just sold a $8 handreg .co for $400!
Also finally just had Afternic funds transferred to my account for a closeout to $xxxx sale! 🙂
    .
But I guess the real trick is having enough flips to pay for all the domains you didn’t/won’t sell! lol

  3. Great list this week. Someone cost me a ton of cash bidding on mochiMedia.com…

As a side note, and perhaps something to ponder MochiMedia which was a really amazing company and innovated online games in many ways was bought for 80 million, now 8 years later the domain was let to drop and 4 years ago the entire thing closed down. Very sad how it was left to die.

The internet is insanely darwin in picking winners and losers.
