Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday May 10th

We’re always looking for ideas of new segments on DomainSherpa.  Is there anything you would like to see/hear about that we’re not covering?   We had some suggestions in the comments of last week’s show that were pretty good and I thought I would ask the same here.  We’re going on hiatus for a few weeks while Mike produces DNSeattle so we’ll have a little time to mix it up.  Save the “drop Shane from the show” and “do anything but the boring shit you do now” comments.  That stuff is obvious.  Looking for something a little more interesting.  While you think about it, here are today’s names.    Click for Current Price.

Quote Of The Day  “Discipline is doing something you don’t want to do to be able some day to do something you want to do”

Domain Of The Day:   Browsy.com    Solid name for any tool you can use to browse something

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

StampsandCoins.com    Not as popular as they once were but still quite a few people that invest in them. 19 years old

MetroPrint.com   1999 name.   Upgrade name for several companies

DriedFood.com   Bigger business than you think.  I use it when camping but many store it prepping for disasters

CrossCircle.com   Nice brand.  Most people think of the Celtic cross when they think of the Cross and Circle

JustHelpMe.com   Getting bids.  I’m a little jaded because I work retail.  I cringe when I hear this

XSIO.com    Excess IO.  Getting some good bids

ProPackage.com    I think upgrade for anything.   Upgrade to the pro package

MyTruth.com    37 bids on this one.  I feel like this one is going to be full of lies wrapped in a nice domain

Grapevyn.com  BrandBucket name all the way

Maud.net   A girls name and that’s usually good enough for some bids.  Doubt there have been any new babies named Maud in a few years

Tradeu.com   14 years old.   Trade up

MiningWealth.com  Now that bitcoin is at $1700 there is wealth in mining

279788.com   The double 8s at the end is usually good for $500 plus

ILoveTrees.com  I admit it. I like this one.   I wouldn’t put it on the list but it has enough bidders there’s no hiding it

BlueWafflesDiseases.com    Not real but every kid worries about getting it as some point

Domains That I Like With One or No Bids

Temptation.net A man is as faithful as his options

WowThatsFast.com Many people don’t like apostrophes but for $12 I can see someone using this in a marketing campaign

TheLawncareMan.com $12 to wait for someone with the name to offer you a few hundred dollars…..or more

NailStrip.com I was thinking nail salon name but evidently it is also a product. Nobody else likes it. No bidders

ClearPick.com Will be something you had no idea existed. Where many domains end up going

BottleLocker.com typed it into Google and got a lock that locks up your expensive liquor. So that

DiveSchool.org I think this works with a dot org. Obviously dot com is much better. Memorable if you are trying to remember what they name of the scuba shop you saw

EventSquad.com upgrade name. No bids

LadyBoyLingerie.com 98 bidders, at $23,0000. Just kidding

KitchenMoxie.com I like this as a kitchen brand

  1. Re: Sherpa

1- I like that new segment where each of you picked an available domain.

2- PRICING PRICING PRICING … Honestly .. the hardest part of domaining is pricing domains .. I think it would be really cool if on the page for each future review that Michael puts each of your “max buy price” and what you’d put as “Buy it now” amounts for each of the domains in the lust (because many get skipped over in the show. Make it a list kinda like sports journalists have lists with competing journalists of their weekly game winner picks.

3- Try to have all future portfolio submissions put their purchase price and renewal cost for each domain. Without those numbers it’s impossible to realistically judge a portfolio or even individual domains (ngTLD’s in particular).

4- Go weekly! Seriously .. I get depressed when I don’t hear your voice for more than 7 days! I honestly think you 4 should have your own podcast .. maybe just do them on alternating weeks when there is no Sherpa review!

5- Seems you guys used to have questions submitted by users .. but that sorta disappeared. Those are always helpful if the questions are good. Even if they aren’t good you guys can still give useful tangent information.

6- Honestly the show is really good .. and entertaining as is .. not too much change is needed IMO.

  2. I won StayForLife.com. 🙂

re: Sherpa show — have listeners submit one domain name each with their retail, end user price, let Sherpas discuss how well priced — or not — each domain is. If 10 listeners submit one each, that’s a 10 domain portfolio for you guys to discuss and evaluate proposed prices.
