Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday May 1st

For the last 7 years I’ve talked and instructed other people and businesses on how to attract more buyers using traditional and Internet based advertising.  All the while letting our own website become obsolete and not practicing what I am supposed to be so good at.  Once I met the dream maker Travis I knew I could change that and bring us back.  He custom coded a new site that is so much better than we’ve ever had and built a site that not only showcases why people should come to our business  but makes it easier to shop and prepare for a trip to the nursery.  I can also better utilize social media by making landing pages and a blog that will also help scoop up some Google keywords.  It’s still in beta as there are still pictures to upload (we have thousands but there are a lot of plants in the world) and a few hiccups here and there, but its exciting to be able to get back to where we were supposed to be.   I never take for granted the skills and hard work of the coders that are able to bring our ideas to fruition. Everyone has ideas but they are worthless without the skills of the people that can bring it to life.   Here are today’s names.    Click for Current Price

SEDO and Other Auction Houses

OGQ.com    At $300 at press time.  Looks to have a reserve that is reasonable that the name will sell

FactOfTheDay.com   Easy build out.  Only need to put up one fact each day

Zunky.com    Nice little 5L.com for the price

Anticipated.com    14 year old dictionary term. Under $700 at press time.   Something to look forward to

Namejet Auction

IronLion.com  Sounds like a Chinese name or a 80s hair band

Huntn.com   How they spell it south of the Mason Dixon land

HVACStore.com  Great name to sell online parts to the HVAC market

HVACWarehouse.com   This one has a ridiculous reserve.  Stick to the name above

HMRI.com  22 years old.  Reserve is almost met.  I for Institute

ICRR.com   Another 22 year old LLLL.com     Probably the same reserve as the above but not doing as well

StarWeddings.com  Uniregistry thinks its a good name.  Their the top bidder

OHDT.com   Same here.  Uni has been buying a lot of LLLL.com to fill in the gap from when they sold the 1000 LLLL.com.   And they are buying them for below the price they sold them for.   It’s working out very well

Clobber.com  Love this one.  I could see this as a startup name

DroneExperts.com   Drone mechanics and pilots are gong to be a big new industry

Heathcote.com  I think this one is being overlooked.  Upgrade name for several entities and a surname

1BC.com  Can never go wrong owning a NLL.com IMO

TheDing.com    Some want the ding, some want the dong.   No bidders

HairTaco.com  No value but love saying it out loud

    1. Tony,

Daycares is not a term anyone uses. type it in and you’ll see all the results are for Daycare. Daycare.com is a million dollar name. This is a directory at best. A giant waste of money in my opinion

      1. My data shows “daycare” gets roughly 27,100 exact monthly searches vs 4,400 for the plural. If daycare.com is worth a million, the plural is at least 10% of that.

      2. I agree.
        The plural is absolutely useless!
Who would actually make a directory of daycares?!
        It really makes no sense.
        Huge waste of moolah!

      3. To clarify, I’m not agreeing with Tony, I’m agreeing with Shane.
        NO ONE uses Daycares.
        Money down the drain!

      4. Peter,

Its’ over. Sarcasm wasted. Nobody but you is coming back to this post. And remember, I am always right. Like Dad at the dinner table. So go do your homework and don’t come back until its finished

    1. Het anon. One, thank you. I do remember that now. No wonder I laughed. I think its even funnier that you hid you ID to make the statement. Your Mormon friends get on you about saying hair taco?

  1. Daycares has an Estibot of $340k .. so might have caught the attention of some for who that number is important.

Here in Canada there are long wait lists for daycare .. so a directory service actually could do very well. Pretty sure it’s like that in a lot of countries. It’s almost like if you got Universities.com. Because while University is more expensive .. in theory every single child goes to daycare, so much higher volume than university. Was the final price $8300?

(lol .. as I wrote that a short segment on that come on on the news)

  2. That’s what I love about domain investing. The value is totally personal. Unlike homes, no two are identical. I personally don’t like names that have to be directories. Doesn’t mean they don’t have value. Just not to me. I appreciate all the comments

    1. I agree, Shane, I don’t like directory names either.
      But I would take Cars.com 🙂

  3. Peter,

There are tons of plurals that I would love to own. Books, Homes, Batteries, Socks, and thousands more. I use those terms every day.
