Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday May 22nd

One of the things I figured out over the last few years is that life is really just me against me.  And that everything else that seems like an obstacle is really just people trying to do their own thing.  Your paths just happen to intersect.  Now when I do things, I do them because I feel they are the right thing to do.  I figure after this many years on earth I have a pretty good sense on what is a good action. There will always be people that think I made the wrong decision.    I am always absorbing information to help make better decisions and adjust my viewpoints.  They change constantly as I add new perspectives and new information.  My actions are often praised and criticized and I’m now fine with either.  Frank Schilling tweeted he wanted to change the world.  I’m a little different.  I just want to see more of it and have a wonderful, fullfilling time with my family and friends.   I don’t think people that changed the world always set out to change it.  I think they set out to fill a need in themselves and/or others and the result changes the lives of many.

I find myself having more talks with my family reminding them about what’s important.  The other day we had a box of cereal fall off a cart while shopping and someone picked it up and put it in their car.  (we went in the store and they showed us the tape because we thought they hadn’t put it in the cart).    My wife was livid. To the point that it carried over and she wasn’t nice to the lady at the restaurant and to me after “the event”.  I reminded her that the girl at the restaurant had to suffer because we lost a box of cereal.  My wife has reciprocated these reminders to me on many occasions.  Our daughter is still young.  Everything is still the end of the world.  She’ll have to learn later we have no chance of breaking her at this age.

Where am I going with this?  Do your thing.  Read the advice of others and then try something.  In domain investing, pick a strategy and do it.  Work on your craft.  It’s the only way you are going to learn.  Manage your money.  Do what you think is best.    Not what Shane says, Rick Schwartz says, or Mike Mann.  Read all of them and form a strategy.  We all think we know what’s best.  And that gets back to its just you against you.  What you know, what you don’t.   How hard you work.  You may get a break and have the person that most wants your domain come out of the woodwork .  All the guys I mentioned above, including myself, were told by most that we were wasting our money.  At times they were right.  More often they were wrong.  You are the only one that is effected by the results.   Here are today’s names. 1. I was going to write a big paragraph, but refrained from it as i’m not good in expressing myself with words. Just going to say your perspective in life really resonated and touched me.

  2. Very good Shane!

  3. Hi Shane,

How do you see investing in domains compared to something like real estate?
Would appreciate a little how you would break down the numbers , and compare/contrast to purchasing real estate.

Appreciate your insights in life and domains 🙂
