Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday April 8th, 2018

Escrow.com

I was finishing up my taxes this week and realized I sold half as many domain in 2017 as I have the past 5 years. .  There were a lot of reasons but I can narrow it down to three things. One,  I didn’t auction much.  I think I had 12, maybe $15K worth of auction sales.  Two, I made no real attempt to lower my prices to move names.  Three, offers were slow compared to years past.  But the year was still great because of my online investments.  Stock trading went very well.  Crypto investing went very well.  This blog made enough to keep going another year. And my miscellaneous other investments on the net gave back some returns.  All of which go straight back into domains.  Because of the lack of sales and the good returns, my portfolio greatly improved this year.  With my purchases last year I feel I have a very good portfolio that moves me into the above mediocre category of domain portfolios.  I think I am going to post my top 75 names here just to see what people think.   You can tell I’m proud of it and I am. Because I built it.  I didn’t put any money into it.  I just worked my ass off writing blogs and flipping names to get there.  Side Hustle exemplified.

Personally my body is adjusting to the nursery getting busy.   Lifting hundreds of bags of mulch at 60 lbs each takes its toll on the body.  Add in walking an extra 10 miles in addition to my 7-15 miles running each day and I’m going to bed like a toddler.   It always takes me a few weeks to adjust and I’m smack dab in the middle.   I actually starting eating sweets again just for calories. I want to lose about 20 lbs to get down to 170 but that’s a piece of cake right now so I eat a piece of cake right now.  Literally.   I figure I’ll hit my weight by July 1st even with another 800-1000 calories added to my diet.  I’m not running as fast as I like but that’s because of the weight.  Occasionally I like to open it up a little and right now that’s about 6:45 pace in the middle of a 10 mile run.   I should be more in the 6:15 pace but I just can’t go that fast.  It’s not there.  But I can feel it.  It’s just going to have to get above 30 degrees for me to really feel it.   Yeah, yeah, wherever you live its 80 degrees.  I know, I’ll get somewhere warm eventually. I got work to do in the meantime.   Here are today’s names.    Click on them for current price

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. 1. Glad to hear this made enough to keep it going another year 🙂
Thanks for all the hard work Shane!

  2. Dagummit – I was really hoping solarsmith.com would stay off your list altogether. At least my instincts were confirmed by you selecting it for Domain of the Day – little consolation though.

I get a lot of value from your blog and your appearances on DomainSherpa, even if you did (maybe) cost me a domain. Many thanks for your contributions to the industry Shane.

    1. Thanks Tom and Jason. I appreciate the kind words. I’m not looking for praise (other than on my running times) but it’s nice to know people get value or at least entertainment out of our work here

  3. Can’t wait to see the top 75 list, any .net, .org, or new gtld’s in there?
