Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday, Feb 11th, 2018

Escrow.com

I was recently looking to invest in classic cars but I really can’t afford to buy a million car but I recently joined a place whereI can buy shares in one.  Its an interesting concept. Rally Rd is an app that takes a classic car and divides it into 2000 shares.  The shares are sold and when sold out the stock goes into a hold period for 3 months where existing investors can buy and sell shares. Then it opens up and others can buy and sell shares and one person could theoretically buy the whole car.   They have added a few cars since I stated and they are going to add other asset classes in time.  In my opinion, this would work perfectly with high end domains.  Splitting a million dollar name into 2000 pieces.  Something to think about.  Enjoy your Sunday.  Here are today’s names, Click on them for current price

  1. I have watched Rally Rd , their cars seem over priced. You are paying an app premium, and such cars move with the bull market, not really a def hedge if market goes bearish.

  2. .
I just died of laughter! Sometimes the coincidences with domains are just epic!
    .
Just to share with the rest of you .. the other day Shane posted at NamePros requesting a good one word .io name … so for fun I messaged him trying to sell Cornhol.io made famous from Beavis and Butthead .. and now 1 or two days later this perfect moment of universal harmony with Shane finding Pornholeo.com on auction! lol 🙂
    .
    Too perfect! 🙂

  3. Cool concept- especially with the app! There will be an increase of securitization of assets like this in the future as blockchain technology will enable all kinds of assets to be “tokenized” and easily tracked (art, real estate, etc). Will make for lots of interesting investments.

  4. It was tried with domains years ago, forget the name. It was ahead of its time but could work now a days.

    1. Ok let’s say tokens.com sold for $500k

So they create 1,000,000 units at $500

And away we go… it would have to be a buying group who can unlock value, like I would say much like we saw cowboys.com

Even though I despise A D rams fans could all chip in and buy rams.com on a unit basis, or even a forum endless

  5. Tim,

There’s a long list of things that failed first round and were successful much later. Just saying that it now can legally be done and is could be tried again.

    James,

I just found it interesting. I have 10 other investments that I think would be better for what I’m trying to accomplish

    1. The concept is amazing same degree as blockchain and tokenization.

I see this could be huge for private collectors sports memb., I see it in our community with people who buy 1/8 of a cow etc…land ownership, business will be able to be so much more fluid between funding, and closing.

If you can put that concept behind a need, the money is waiting to flow.

Rally rd cars have low mileage; which is a great plus, but they are at the top of the market. There are people who have the skill to buy value, and I guess with crowd funding, and tokenization this would be a grand slam.

It’s tempting to say I own a park avenue property with a simple $1000 investment.

      Stay tuned
