Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday March 4th, 2018

Escrow.com

I’ve mentioned several times I listen to most of Joe Rogan’s podcast.  I like the mix of guests he has on and I love the extended talks.  Letting the guests go on brings out some great conversation that would have otherwise been missed.   I had a speech an hour a way yesterday so I listened to Chris Kresser talk about gut health.  I am obsessed with my gut health.  I’ve always felt that my stomach dictates my day.  How I feel.  How I perform.  Kresser’s interview pretty much proved to me I was on the right track. (I am eating a giant piece of cake as I write this)

With a busy day it’s so tough to eat correctly.  Things in packages are just so much more convenient and they taste fantastic.  They were scientifically created to trigger your brain in every way.  And they do.  Even better the sugar and other ingredients draw you in to want more.  So how am I to resist something that taste better than healthy food and my body is telling me it wants more of it?   That’s what I’m figuring out.    And I don’t need some vegan to tell me “Welllll you simply get up 2 hours early and prepare yourself a nice healthy ……….”  We’re on a time schedule too. Right now I’m on a eat this not that way of eating.  But still filling in the cracks with junk.   I have some anchor meals put in that I like and are healthy but I have some flaws of sweets that I can’t resist.  And my body works on rewards.  Often leading to a 13 mile run with 14 miles of calories behind it.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  The goal is to lose 20 pounds and still feel great by May 15th.   Today’s starting weight 190.  Here are today’s names.    Click on them for current price

  1. Thanks very much for your lists Shane.

The formatting is not working under ‘GoDaddy Names With No Bids’ for me, seeing [g] tags outputted.

    1. John,

I am 6 foot on the money. My race weight is 175. I am anorexic at 165. I also have a terrible pigeon toed gate. yet somehow at 48 I still ran a 3:16 and a 3:06 marathon in the last two years and 1:27 half. Even I can’t quite figure out how such a bad runner is a decent runner

  2. That’s pretty good run time, I’ve been trying to work out what my weight should be, I’m 6’1, run frequently and weigh 210 but I’ve picked things up and put them down for fifteen years (weight lifting) so I’ve found it’s tough to get below this weight. I average five miles in under an hour each day. Perhaps shoot for 200? It’s nearly impossible when running to not eat more and I find the only time I got down to 200 was when I spent two hours running and body building which is entirely too time consuming.

    1. John,

Even if you have a big build you could easily be 190. You just have to track you calories in and out and keep yourself at a slight deficit. The only weightlifting you do is low weight high rep. You want long muscles not bulky. If you want to run well you need David Beckhams body not Mark Wahlbergs. Nothing is easy but you absolutely can do it if you go all in

  3. Running is under-rated as fitness training. I ran 7 miles every other day for about 6 years until I broke my ankle into pieces. (Injury was not related to running.) When I started, getting past the five mile barrier without stopping was the biggest hurdle. A friend gave me a pointer before I began and to pass that along for all those looking to fully tune themselves up, keep your breath control and never break your form. Stop before break your form, once I past 5 miles, it was a automatic and the runner’s high begins. Not sure what the key is to marathons, that’s a much greater level of punishment, but running was probably the best thing I did to have lasting health.

    1. Andrew,

Moving is always a good thing. Swimming, biking, and running are all great for you. Swimming is very easy on the joints so 99.9% of people could swim if they wanted. Running is the best for your body. Actually cross country skiing is the best but not very practical. I have running partners that started running for the first time at 40. Hadn’t played organized sports in 20 years. Together we slowly worked up to higher mileage and more workouts. He ran 3:02 at 54 year old. Most things we do are really just a want. Its amazing what can happen when you want to do something.

  4. Thanks Shane and agreed it’s just focus, America’s foods is just so damn addictive that’s all 😉 I moved back four months ago from Europe and I want to eat everything!
