Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday October 22nd, 2017

Escrow.com

Remember when .info was the hot tld at the auctions?   Seems like forever ago. You could pretty much put any good keyword do info up at Flippa and make money.  How are dot info and Flippa doing now?   It’s crazy how hot markets work. Everyone talking about how this one is going to be different. Yet we all know that it will only be good until something else comes along that people like or until the market runs out of the next fool.  If you have been an investor long enough you know that money is made in volatility.  That you need the ups and down and the spreads to make money.  You need a hot .info to come around and you need another one to follow.  We need this movement of hot and cold to keep markets fresh. Things don’t run forever.  There will be a lot of money made when it runs so everyone feels the need to jump in.  All the while hoping they aren’t jumping in to a top.

To me the thing that bothers me most about bitcoin is not that I haven’t been part of the run.  It’s that the guys and girls that have, now have more money than me to outbid me on good domain names.  They are generating cash to spend that I am not. That really is the only thing that gets me.   I am trying to build a portfolio.  I have been getting some great domains over the last month while others are concentrating elsewhere.  I think when people start coming back,  they are going to what to spend their “winnings” and drive up some prices in the resale market.  I do think this comes but it will only be in the premium names.  The area where I’ve been investing lately.  Those names have risen greatly in price and I think they skyrocket over the next few years.  My opinion only and I have been putting my money in my thoughts.  You put yours in what you think will serve you best. Here are today’s names, you have to click to see current price.

Quote of the Day:  “Not everyone gets to win. This is not a faster email server, this is a technology where people will go away”   -Chain CEO Adam Ludwin

Domain of the Day:   CryptoSwitch.com    Solid name for a crypto coin exchange site

Namejet  and Sedo Names at Auction

TheChristmas.com     Those 3 months of the year its relevant will pay for the 9 months idle

FrontLoader.com  I have a few.  Expensive equipment but could be a brand as well

TheMaple.com   I will buy this one but you’re welcome to try

Steal.com  This one literally is a steal.  sorry

TrainBrain.com  I thought a few minutes over whether I like BrainTrain or TrainBrain better.  Still not sure but TrainBrain is for sale so not really a choice

Brandery.com    Nothing like a brand site with a made up brand word as its name

HappyChef.com   I like the people that cook my food to be happy.  Always seems to work out better for me

FabulousCoffee.com  A bit specific but coffee places open and close every day

StartMarketing.com   Obviously a marketing name. But a marketing name for a marketing company

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

DNEF.com    Good letters for our industry but evidently we lost all our players so it will stand for “Do Not Eat Fries” or something

Movement.co   I’m not a fan of dot co and I’ve said that several times.  But I’m also smart enough to realize that names like this get tons of action and are highly sought after.   So I may not like it over all but a good flip is a good flip

Nomulus.com The name of Google’s Open Source domain name registrar.  But obviously they don’t own the dot com

AccessPlus.com  I’m not going to lie, I can’t wait to see what I get access to.  Bids are higher than I thought

Xephon.com  I think X names look techy and everyone knows that they make the Z sound

FXPH.com    Chinese CHiP.  Which means we start at $900 based on recent sales

Sparkeo.com   Google says it gets 1300 monthly visits

Fingro.com  Fintech name

BloodRight.com     Medical name and obviously will be blood related.  A good buy under $75 IMO

CanadaHomeLoans.com    Last time I checked they still sell homes in Canada and loan money to people to buy them

Godaddy Names With One or No Bids

BitHerders.com No bid on this one. It will now. Bitcoin mining name

AbundantMoney.com Not sure it has much value but like the name. Sounds like a fun website. 13 year old name

C3PO.info See. If C3PO doesn’t have value in dot info, nothing does

TheFlightPlan.com 2001 birthday for this travel name

Yolanda.com this one is ending in a few days but great name and getting a ton of action so I thought I would give a preview since there are so few good no bid names

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. 1. Far and away my highest buy for a domain was a .info (D i e t) .. it was years ago, way before I got into domaining. But despite putting a pretty penny down to obtain it, I’m still happy about the buy. but only because it’s a perfect name for .info, and probably one of the top 5 in the TLD.

  2. I haven’t got into bitcoin either. No time more than anything else. Plus I do see a possible bubble coming and think it’s a bit late in the game. Potential eventual regulation or banning in some countries is also something I see as potential danger to a large chunk of the current value. Add to that all the forks, new coins and new ICO’s are all going to compete for the same real world money in order to maintain value. So while I do see Blockchain having a ton of potential for lots of things .. as actual pure currency I see some big roadblocks ahead down the road. Particularly as tax agencies around the world start to notice all the tax not being paid. Today that amount represents such a ridiculous tiny fraction of the global economy, but it doesn’t need to get all that big for governments to take action .. it simply needs to get big enough that they see a problem in the not so distant future.
