Dot .ws officially collapsed today. Ok it didn’t really collapse, but a tremendous amount of keyword.ws domains are on the expired list. Words that combined would be tens of millions if they were dot com. They’re not even getting $12 bids. I’m not even sure how the ccTLD stays open other than me renewing my LL.ws domains. It’s a lot of pressure on me keeping the whole thing afloat. 🙂
On a side note, I drove all the way to Busch Stadium to see the Cubs play St. Louis yesterday. It’s hard to take days off right now but I had incredible tickets so I took my Dad, a coworker and a friend. We got there early and got a parking spot 20 feet from the field. Walked over and got a great booth to eat and didn’t have to wait in line. I order a drink and look at the big screen and see there is a tarp on the field as expected because it could rain. At the bottom of the screen it says PPD. I ask my coworker if they had canceled the game and he said he had checked 5 minutes ago and it was still on. So he checked again. Canceled until tomorrow. So we had a good meal and headed home. To make the trip worthwhile we went to a famous pie place the is off the highway and ordered 10 pies for all our friends and family. I owned PCPoker.com and sold it for $430 on Flippa in 2014 – a very “dated” type of name imo but I won’t be surprised to see it go for a lot more simply because it’s a expired GoDaddy auction.
