Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday July 6th

Escrow.com

I don’t own a single bitcoin or etherium but I find myself checking prices every day.  I even fake trade GBTC just to see how I would do.   Plain and simple, I like making money.  I have no problem with risk.  I don’t need any of my side money to pay bills.  It’s half the reason I’ve continued to make great money.  Because I can do some things that you would never do if you had to be careful and save a little for the mortgage.  But for some reason I have no desire to buy any crypto coin.  I just like watching it.

In 2007 I traded options and took $2K to $250K in about 8 months.  I put the entire $250K into one trade the night before earnings.  If the earnings came in good I would be a millionaire, if they were bad I was going to lose a lot of money.  They were bad.  I lost $150K in the first two minutes of opening.  My story became how I turned $2K into $100K and not a story about how I turned it into a million.  But that risk is what got me there and no mater what I was going to do very well so why not.

That’s how I feel about Bitcoin right now.  I may day trade it.  I may take $10K and just tuck it away.  I’m still not sure.  I still like the return of great domains more.  It’s just getting really hard to find them and the gap between finding good names is a lot bigger which leaves me weeks between purchases.  Although I keep buying LLLL.com each day to build up my portfolio and keep my boredom to a minimum.  Maybe that will keep me off the bitcoin bandwagon until I find something within the category I think is worth putting my money in to.  Here are today’s names. Quote of the Day: “Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs” –Farrah Gray

Domain of the Day:  CoinPop.com    Anything coin is now a bitcoin/cryptocoin name.  As good of a name as Coinbase

Namejet Auctions

ARGlasses.com  You can blame Rick Schwartz for this huge price

Deho.com   CVCV and that’s good enough lately.    I used to own quite a few and sold a few for five figures but never got a good end user offer.   It doesn’t matter when the wholesale prices get this high

GFID.com  Good acronym letters unless the letters stand for In Detroit

Filet.com  This one is going to do very well.  But under $500 at press time

BLRA.com  A for association

XMGL.com    Chinese name all the way.  Maybe not all the way but most of the way

NotFree.com      Nothing is free.  Even if you don’t pay for it

SocialConsultant.com      Yup.  That’s a real title

Lefty.com Love the name, hate the reserve

Flippa Auction Names

30 (THIRTY) KEYWORD RICH .COM, Domain Names, and Chinese Lucky Number Combinations!!!

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

SpinMedia.com   Has the most bids on the GD board today.  399,000 backlinks

Bedouins.com    Spelled a few different ways but this is one of them.  These are the nomadic people of Syria that are typically sheep herders.  Getting some good bids

AlphaNu.org   Interesting name.  It’s a greek organization but it operates under a different domain. Yet this one has 784,000 backlinks which means its been used for something.

EmmyLou.net   Another one with huge backlink profile.  And a good country name

FloridaDrugScreening.com   You know exactly what they offer

Saily.com      Perfect for a sailing startup.   Of course there is no such thing yet getting a lot of bids

6xx6.com  This is going to do much better than you think

Nuvvo.com   The kind of 5L you could have had for $20 but since it has history you are going to pay 10 times that or more

WoodSupply.com    Can’t think of a better place to get your wood

SchoolSpot.com    School supplies.  Teaching plans  etc

TheWhales.com    Casinos and strip clubs call the guys with money whales.    And because they are usually fat

VietTravel.com   At $800.  Which ironically would be enough spending money for 3 or four weeks in Vietnam

Domains That I Like With One or No Bids

MassTrack.com I am thinking Blockchain. Then again, I see blockchain in everything now

SkyLobe.com Originally registered in 1998. Somebody picked it up and is dropping it which tells you something. But maybe you’ll get lucky. Upgrade name for a few entities

SmellMyAss.com No thanks. Pretty sure you can get this one cheap

AlabamaSunrise.com Sounds like a drink or a song title.

DataBackupSolutions.com $24 CPC for data backup gives this name some value IMO

LevelBase.com Always have to start with a good base. 16 years old

Skycatcher.com Cessna thought enough of the name to name one of their planes this but….they scrapped this model

HikingChile.com Chile has some great hiking. Let them know where

LiquidStrength.com Also known as beer

Zurro.com 5L with no bids at $12

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an emailI Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. Hi Shane. Care to share details on that trade? Just curious.
Was it a pharma trade, (bet on a FDA announcement)?
I did something similar with a silver stock back in 2010.
Ran up a 2200% return in 2.5 months.
    Thx

    1. Robert,

It was an Apple earnings. I got to the big number trading apple, celgene, garmin, intuitive surgical, and a few more. Caught them all when they were hot

  2. Take a look at the ripple (XRP) coin http//www.ripple.com. It has an actual use case and is starting to be employed by large banks for international transfers. Bitcoin is getting too expensive for transfers.

  3. C’Mon Shane .. I thought you lived in a party town?

    Alabama Slammer = Yum
    Tequila Sunrise = Yuck

    Alabama Sunrise = ????
