Someone asked me what the best advice about domain investing I could give them. I told them to keep a healthy weight. Why? So they had a chance to live longer and enjoy all the money they were going to make if they became good at domain investing. A healthy weight certainly doesn’t assure a long life but it certainly helps. Healthy weight also show discipline. Something it takes to make money in domain investing. You have to manage your money. Put in the time to learn value of domains, and put in the leg work to sell them. Discipline, consistency, patience, and hard work are the key to anything. Best advice = Learning to say no to a great domain!
I let a couple great ones on auction go by today because they got beyond a certain value price point .. felt good afterwards despite not winning the domains for some odd reason. Maybe it’s because I did manage to grab a handful of other ones at fantastic value!
Still .. the frustrations of trying to price certain categories of brandables is also up there .. but saying no is probably one of the less obvious ones!
