Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday October 25th, 2017

Escrow.com

I really can’t say enough about Uniregistry’s team of brokers.  I haven’t sold a name from a past lead but I can see in the notes all the work they put in to communication and negotiation.  I am sure in due time they will sell a name for me.  I mentioned it before but I work my own initial leads.  I probably have the same rate as everyone else.  Five percent or so.  But then there are the 95% that give no offers that I don’t mess with or negotiations go south.  I don’t take the time to go back to any of them.  So I hand them over.  And Uniregistry through all of them. Small or large.  I can see them all and its impressive. Of course its a good size team and they’re looking to earn their 15%.    A reader yesterday emailed me and said he had read this intro about turning over the old leads so he did.  And Uniregistry sold a name for a few grand within 10 days.  A name he didn’t think he would sell.  And this is not an advertisement.  Uniregistry gave up advertising here long ago.  This is merely a recommendation that I think will help our readers sell names.

Also,  I used to get upset when I saw names for sale at auction with extremely high reserves.  And then I realized they are just using the platform for publicity. I realized this after a few emails thanking me for listing their names.  Names that I thought had zero chance of selling at the reserve.  Except they had no plans to sell them at reserve.  The reserve would be lowered if they were at a house that allowed it like Flippa, or they would sell it privately later.   And they did.   Several times over.  Its a method I really hadn’t thought of.  Mainly because I didn’t want to cheat the auction houses.  But when it comes to simply thinking about selling domains it makes sense.  You can’t sell a name unless people know its for sale.  Once that is established, the only thing left is price.  And that can be adjusted. Here are today’s names, you have to click to see current price.

Quote of the Day: “The amount of sleep required by the average person is five minutes more.” – Wilson Mizener

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an emailI Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me Shane,  or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. Same with me. I was going to deal with all old leads myself and then I saw the work some of them put in reaching out to the inquiries. Good efforts so I left it as is. The one thing that really bugs me about uni is the lander page that says “get a price quote”. I never want to start the price point, ever and as far as I now there is no other lander option. You should be able to create your own lander text.

    1. The landers I use say ‘Submit an inquiry to the seller’. Maybe it has changed since you last checked?

    2. At Uniregistry’s market, you have a choice for your landing page. If I’m not mistaken you may choose from sales form (where you will see a form to inquire or place an offer- also the only option I’ve gotten leads on), PPC with options to place affiliate links to earn commission, and a page that quotes the price.

  2. I’m pretty sure that 99% of the emails that are sent out by Uniregistry brokers on your behalf are automated. Every now and then you will see one that looks somewhat customized, but most are probably generated by a system. Not that this is a bad thing. It’s the best way to send a bunch of emails asking people if they are still interested. I just don’t think they are putting a lot of work into the past lead process. I may be wrong.
