Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday April 27th

When the LLLL.coms were falling, all you heard during the big Chinese price rise was who was selling their LLLL.coms and how prices were falling.  Now that they are crossing $3K daily for the Western premiums, its crickets.  Why?  Because it doesn’t fit their agenda.   It’s not doing what they predicted so they fade off into the shadows.  If you bought good letters (Western Premiums) 2 years ago then you are KILLING it right now and prices are going higher each day.  If you bought them during the peak you are still making money. At Namejet I have had trouble finding quality letters that end in C for under $2500. I put a domain wanted thread on Namepros for that same type and zero replies.  Zero.

The positive is I have continued to be a buyer and will continue to be a buyer.  I think the highest quality LLLL.com will be five figures wholesale in 5 years.  I think they are at that price retail right now.  I think they are the safest investment in domains and still have great upside at the top tier.  This is my opinion only.  I would rather you would believe all the articles written over the last 12 months about the downward spiral and let me and “Guest” have them all at Namejet.   Keep buying your dot io and trying to find the next great extension and I’ll keep buying these boring old LLLL.com 🙂  Here are today’s names   Click for Current Price

Namejet Auction

TSSR.com    Met reserve at $3100.   One of the examples I talked about earlier.

MKKM.com Like the above.  The reserve from this seller has been around $3K.  Good pattern for some.  Not a fan of the Ks

CHML.com   More great letters

TacoLab.com  Everyone loves tacos.  The lab makes it sound like there will be a bunch of different types

228.biz   The NNN.biz have a lot more value than NNN.info

VRWC.com  This is an interesting name because it has VR and ends in c.  All comes down to reserve

Big.tv  One of my favorite .tv names in a while

  1. I gotta say I’m not seeing those prices for Western Premiums. Do you mean pronounceables? I mean I can’t get rid of decent lettered Western Premiums for under $500.

    1. Dale,

Maybe you don’t have Western premium. They are LLLL.com that don’t contain J,K,Q,U,V,W,X,Y,Z. Email them to me and I will buy them. Just the other day my bid of $3200 wasn’t even close on SLSC.com. Went for $3900. Not very pronounceable

      1. No, I do know what Western Premiums are but I’m not seeing the prices you’re seeing unless they’re pronounceables. I’m not taking a dig but you must’ve worded your write up wrongly.

      2. Dale,

I deserve the dig. Wrote this too late. Meant top tier aka western premiums ending in C. I have been part of the last three and each time they keep going up. Could be just me and a few others that like them and be an anomaly. On my own planet

    1. Stuff,

SLSC.com just went for $3900 this week at Namejet. I am part and watch all the auctions. Send me your list and I’ll buy if you want to join my planet.

  2. Send me email. I think I have 30 of those western premiums. so you pay $70k escrow?

    thanks

  3. I looked, I have 22 western premiums.
    They are LLLL.com that don’t contain J,K,Q,U,V,W,X,Y,Z

i you want, I can give them all for 22x$2500 = $55k, email me.

  4. Shane, you been drinking? 🙂 You said Western Premiums are crossing $3k daily, but they are going for between $200 and $1,500 depending on quality. Even ones that are also Chinese Premium are just towards the upper end of that range, nowhere near $3k.

    From the past few days:

    EMSP.com – $1,500 at Sedo
    PAOE.com – $740 at NJ
    LEMT.com – $605 at NJ
    GBHO.com – $220 at NJ

And so on. Looking at ones that are both Western AND Chinese from the past few days:

    TTLB.com – $1,109 at NJ
    SLSC.com – $3,900 at NJ (outlier)
    HCTN.com – $1,177 at NJ
    TBNM.com – $1,300 at NJ
    NTSB.com – $1,192 at NJ
    RRSH.com – $1,498 at NJ

The only way you’re right is if it is Chinese Premium, Western Premium, and ends in C but that’s not what you said in the intro. And there are only two recent examples in that neighborhood, but there are also some for much less in the past few weeks:

    FFTC.com – $1,499 at NJ on 4/17
    LNSC.com – $2,275 at GoDaddy on 4/6

Just Western Premium ending in C (not CHIPS) seems to be more in the $1k – $1.5k range.

    1. Michael,

I worded that completely wrong. I should say that end in C for the $3K plus. I just purchased CBLC.com and had to pay $3K to get it at auction as well. So you say outlier (and it very well may be) but they are doing much better than average CHiPs. And the O at the end is the worst of the worst. Becomes a dot org with that.

But yes, terribly written. I should have state that the PREMIUM or top tier, meaning ending in C are reaching new levels.

      1. Some recent 4L sales ending with letter “c”

        vwwc.com 364 USD 2017-04-13 Sedo Seriously? a V?
osgc.com 1,300 USD 2017-04-12 NameJet Could have had this name for half this price 5 months ago. Not the $3K I stated but proves how Western premium with vowels are increasing
        kkgc.com 1,100 USD 2017-04-11 NameJet
eboc.com 1,009 USD 2017-04-11 NameJet I got beat out at last minute here. Great name IMO for the price
rwsc.com 1,355 USD 2017-04-07 DropCatch Proves your point, not mine. Wish I would have bought it but I do think it would go for $500 to $1000 more right now at Namejet

        mbmc.com 1,999 USD 2017-03-22 NameJet

  5. I tried selling TSTT.com and couldn’t get a sniff at 2K let alone what I wanted. I am sitting on all my 4 letters right now hoping they go up.

  6. Of the $3000 valuation for 4L ending with C .. $1 is the actual value of the domain .. and $2999 is the added value from you and Andrew talking about how great they are on Sherpa Reviews … lol

PS .. for those of you who like to take things out of context .. the above was sarcasm! 😉

Seriously speaking though .. I understand 4L.com have value .. and even a relative liquid value in the low $xxxx range .. but I don’t get how freezing $2k-3k in a single domain is worth it based on what most people say about the very low sell-through rates to end users for 4L.com .. are those of you in the 4L.com market primarily counting on the liquid value continuing to increase, and only seeing small possible chance of end user sale as a tiny bonus?
