Chasing.  It’s human nature to chase what’s hot.  To take advice from those that have been successful to try and emulate it.  Yet when you look closely, most things that proved incredibly profitable or amazing were done by people the did their own thing.   Stuck to things that others said were stupid or a waste of time.  The great personalities that you remember on TV were not like anyone else.  They were their own person.  They didn’t try and do something like someone else.  They could have probably gotten more work early by filling a certain role.  But in the long run they created their own work.   People that are doing things different than everyone else are rare.  Rare people are either called eccentric or brilliant.

People have a desire for rare.  Often the rare has no more functionality or purpose than other things more common. It’s worth more for no other reason than not many other people have it.  All you have to do is convince enough people that its special enough to want and a market is born.  The Road Runner was a considered an ugly car. So ugly it didn’t sell very well when it came out. But that ugliness and rarity made it the most coveted vehicle 30 years later.   In short, everyone wants to feel like they own something someone else can’t have.  Rare in this case gives it more value

So where am I headed with this?  All domains are by definition unique.  But not all are rare or in demand.  In order to make the great money in the future you either have to deal in rare or get ahead of names that will catch fire later.  You don’t always have to listen to others on how to make money.  Come up with your own way.  Create a way to buy and sell domains.  Some will say there’s nothing new to be done.  Someone who is about to become wealthy will prove that is not true.  In short, don’t become the next Drew Rosener, become the next you. Although Drew is doing pretty well. Hell, I don’t know what I’m talking about. Just keep at it. Buy some crypto names.  Here are today’s names. They don’t work if you don’t click on them
