DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Auction Picks: Monday, November 2nd, 2015

Escrow.com

One of the things I have been looking into for each type of “hot” category of domains is the “float”.  Much like stocks, some of the more limited categories 4N.com, 5N.coms, even NNN.xyz are tight.  Meaning there just aren’t many being offered for sale.  It’s because high percentages of the names are being held by a few people.   You can look at it two ways.  The low float keeps the price artificially inflated because the demand outweighs the availability.  What would happen if the big owners start massive selling?  Until that happens there is an opportunity to make some money.  Much like trading you keep an eye on those portfolio sellers and watch their actions.  Until that time the key is to unearth some names to sell.  Flipping and taking profits until its over.  The stock market is absolutely no different.  Most stocks aren’t trading on any kind of fundamentals.  The P/E are way out of whack on some of the biggest stock.  Tesla is -85 and expected to 150 next year.  Obviously there aren’t the sales behind domains like stocks but the fundamentals of trading them are.

I want to point out that I am not saying this is easy money.  It is very high risk.  I would tell a stock buyer the same thing. Only invest what you have to lose.  What I am saying is there is opportunity.  Successful stock traders would do well in this market.  There is real math behind it.  I’ve talked to the biggest domain owners and they are absolutely looking at these short domains like they would a stock.  Algorithms, float, daily sales tracking.  There is millions of dollars selling daily and they are treating it like the big business that it is.  In short, pay attention and be careful. Here are today’s names.   Click for current prices.

595688.com  6Ns are definitely where a surging market exists.  I think its because it in the $500 to $3000 press points

85395.com  It’s rare to find a 5N.com without a Zero or a 4 right now

AgelessFace.com   Nice beauty name.  One bidder at $12

218321.com  No fours but the price is still pretty low compared to recent sales.  Although I expect it to change towards the end of the auction

272286.com  This one is under $100 as well.  Again, I buy them to divide them in to two NNN.coms

FKQG.com  Quick is the only common word for an acronym in English (probably more but it’s all that come to mind) In Chinese there are a lot more

HybridRepairs.com With million of hybrid vehicles on the road I would think this would make a good marketing name. Under $100 at press time

CapitalMedia.com  A trend I am seeing is in “Media” names.  Aged keyword media names do consistently well

a985.com  These LNNN.com are starting to sell at the $35 to $50 mark.  Worth paying attention to

821311.com  Under $30 at press time

835887.com  One more.  The 8s are in the middle which isn’t as good but under $30 is

TRPP.COM  Nice CHIP and the double Ps will add value

LWNX.com I see “Lawn X” but the rest of the world sees four figures

JHYY.com  The double Y is more powerful than the double P

SZRY.com  And the almighty Z trumps them all

PNPX.com  One last one.   If you’re in to these types of things

VTKB.com  The highest priced LLLL.com that starts with a V.   Good for all owners of similar names

VWTQ.com  Has met reserve.  Is also above the $250 and climbing

ZQYV.com    Will help establish a floor price.  Right now it’s $250 but changes every month

ZRBQ.com  Right in the fair range.  Reserve has been met

AwesomeJelly.com  Site gets 1 million views according to owner. Worth checking out but A LOT of due diligence is needed on it

X.Singles   Single letter New Gs were the only ones selling last year.  Not many have come up for sale since.  Of course only 26 per tld.  I like X the best

Lilies.com  Also met reserve.  Love seeing plant names get good prices

Gun.info  Not getting a lot of bids.  This is a perfect keyword for the dot info market

Quoto.com  I like this 5L.com.  Nobody else does

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

ComedyLab.com  Already a British TV show.  Obvious uses

HTRN.com   The kind of names I am buying a CHIP and EP (English Premium)

NBLF.com   Another one just like it. F isn’t as good as N to end with but still a nice LLLL.com

PSTL.com   P Saint Louis

YWGD.com   You Will Go Down.   Competitive Racing site not porn

6717.net  Still a lot of NNNN.net buyers

TMJRelief.com Two bidders.  I’ve said it quite a bit. People who are in pain are always hunting for ways to make it go away.  This is perfect for a buildout. 16 years old

RaceTruck.com   There’s a whole series of Race Trucks.  103 million Google results.  Heck, they even race semis. 18 years old

CustomMansonry.com  Great marketing name for someone that offers this. Heck, mailboxes and outdoor kitchens alone in my neighborhood is a big business.

EBMB.com   Great EP.   Higher percentage of endusers.  My opinion only

HealthyDiet.net  Going to get this at a good price if your intent is a buildout.  Resale or income is in the buildout only IMO

PicSharing.com  A bit generic but Pic Sharing is what the half the Internet is built on

  1. Wow the seller should keep x.singles. that’s a massive domain. He or she needs to hold on to it. I bet he can get better money for it.
