DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Auction Picks: Monday, October 19th, 2015

Escrow.com

I highly recommend you don’t go back into your forum PMs and look at the domains you bought and didn’t buy over the last few years. On the positive note I got it right.  I did a great job of buying short names, numerics, and LLLL.coms.  Where I went wrong is I sold them.  Yes, I know that you wouldn’t go broke making a profit.  What I did do though was not let myself get rich.  Its easy to look backwards and say what if.  I’m not saying that.  I’m saying that maybe I hold a little longer and see what happens.  I’m going to sell some fringes but I’m going to hang tight on the rest and try and get some income in some other areas.  We’ll see how it plays out. I’m not going to lie.  Not selling names is burning me.  I want to have auctions and see how they do.  I like watching the bank account grow.  That’s the point of this whole investment thing.  I just have to have confidence that my names are earning more interest than having cash.   Only time will tell. Here are today’s names.  Click for current prices.

BusterBrown.com   Was a comic strip and a shoe line.  20 year old domain

2020eyes.com   Good marketing name for anyone dealing with vision. 19 years old.  And 2020.com is almost a six figure name

LCHC.com  To me the perfect Quad.  Appeals to both markets.

EXB.com  Under $20K at press time

ShavedScrotum.com  The scary part is this gets 4 visits a month.  No bidders because everyone knows the term is “shorn”

HRFX.com  Opening bid is $444 and no bidders. Worth a lot more than that based on current sales

LMMV.com  A quads will rise.  Just some more than others.  My opinion only.  May or may not happen

JDII.com  I understand vowels are no good on the CPQs (Chinese Premium Quads) but repeating? We’ll get some info here at the end

WLGQ.com  Qs sure are loved by the Chinese.  Fantastic price

RQQD.com  Double Qs is even better.  OK,  half the price but still doing well

VKFW.com  Said it yesterday. I like Vs at the beginning.  Not sure quite yet if China does.  I know they don’t like V because its not in their language but somebody is bidding them up and I’m trying to see if V location makes a difference

ZSXE.com  The E keeps the price down…….for now

hg2215.com  hg3397.com hg2213.com These HG names are all killing it.  HGNNNN.coms are gambling domains.  Another type I wish I would have known about

NameSplash.com  Great domain brand.

HG3396.com  I wish I knew why this one is doing much worse than the above

9868.co  Shows you that numbers dot co pretty much have no value.  I think the whole dot co segment is trending that way

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

Kut.net  A minimalist when it comes to auction description

GotBud.com  A lot more relaxing than milk

CLYT.com  Met reserve and will sell

VJAJ.com  At $100 .  All Quads are worth more than that IMO

CXXG.com Has a BIN of $1250 and would not be surprised to see that hit

OFOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

TurfWorld.com  Upgrade name for a few events and companies

CycleSales.com  20 years old.  Bike or Motorcycle

HighlySkilled.com  Only a few bidders.  Always a need for highly skilled workers

NoTrack.com  Everything is being tracked today.  Meaning there will be a market for being not tracked

Y64.com  Said it before. I think LNN and NLL LNN go up from here.  And I’m buying so I also have some skin

9BZ.com  One more

DNWatch.com  I thought this would be good for someone in this industry

NHHP.com Ending today and will sell.

UnFriend.com  We’re talking about this one on the DomainSherpa show today. I like this one

Obro.com   I like it as a brand.  As good as umbro.  Is umbro still around? I used to wear their soccer clothes all the time

Cloud1.com  People are going to say “If 1 is good then any number is good”  Cloud 9 is first and Cloud1 is second

FastWebCart.com  Because the SlowWebCart.com  is just not going to sell

GoPron.com  Typo of Go Pro  GOP Ron

TargetedContact.com    People are always looking to buy a targeted email list.  Either GEO or interest related

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. (if you have trouble with the contact form its shane@ this domain name) I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is corrects

    1. Aaron 2 reprioritized some things in his life, and spending more time with his growing family came first….as it should! I always enjoyed his recaps, and I suspect you may see a guest post or two from him in the future.

  1. Maybe I missed this one somewhere along the way, but what do you think happened to .co? It’s leaky but widely used…

  2. Buster Brown is a big fat trademark (shoes), VERY well known.

The buyer, unless the Buster Brown Company, could be buying a passel of legal trouble.
