DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Auction Picks: Thursday, November 5th, 2015

Escrow.com

I sold a CHIP yesterday at auction I had no plan on selling.  I have been buying LLLL.coms for a decade but I usually try and make a profit and flip them.  Like many people I bought some “shitty” letters every once in a while and of course now they are considered premium.  I can’t remember what I paid for DDZS in 2012ish but it was under $70.  I tried to sell it for $200, then $300 for years with no luck.  I decided to see what its worth by paying the $5 reserve cost and put it on Godaddy.  I put a reserve of $2K thinking there was no way it would sell. It would get close but the market isn’t quite there yet.  Wrong.  Its there.  I’m not complaining.  We have to make profit and I certainly did.  I just was planning on holding all my CHIPS for a while and not sell any.  Crazy crazy market.  Then again I’ve been in the short and numeric market for 5 years so I expected all this.  Not this fast but completely expected it.   And I have written all about it on this blog for proof.     Here are today’s names.    Click for current prices.
.
Rosalee.com  A girls name that is becoming more popular as old fashioned names make their way back
.
RedDesk.com  Awesome online brand.  Under $300 is a good buy IMO
.
VZZJ.com  Surprised this one hasn’t gotten more bids.  The double letters anywhere in a LLLL.com usually gets the price higher.  Maybe because its still early
.
CRPB.com  Ladies and Gentleman, our first CHIP of the morning is this fine beauty. 13 years old, enjoys long walks on the beach, and hopes to retire to China some day
.
MathMonkey.com I liked the name but already much higher than I thought it would go for
.
NoSmart.com  I thought this one was pretty funny.  No bidders. $12
.
TurnGreen.com  Do the right thing.  Go green.   A few bidders
.
14300.com  Who cares if it has a 4 and a zero lately.  All 5N.coms are doing well
.
KZBG.com  2nd chip on the block today.   Also known as KZBG “Big Country” in Lewiston, Idaho
.
69378.com  No fours or zeros.  $3K is my guess
.
983388.com   A very nice six number if that’s your thang

VTKB.com  V name crossing $1K.  Gotta love it
.
228155.com  If you believe that 6N.com will go up this presents an opportunity to get in at a reasonable price
.
5UN.com  The NLL.com really have’t moved up like 4L.coms and other short characters.  Opportunity?
.
MatressBargains.com If your town is like mine you have at least 10 mattress stores.  I guess everyone has a few in their house and they need to be replaced every 8 to 10 years so thats 50 million matresses each year
.
66.biz  The short dot biz market just exploded.  I started it.   Ok maybe I just joined in
.
SS.biz  These two are ending in a week but sure worth following
.
RR.biz  This one as well
.

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)
.
POHO.com    Fantastic CVCV.   Seller is a lucky man.  He’ll probably still own it after this auction though
.
M.IM   It’s certainly short. And getting a pretty good price
.
FNDX.com   Seller actually has perfect comps.  It may be a first
.
BNDX.com   Of course he gets it right here as well. Same seller and only one letter off

XXWW.com  OK this is the best name on the board.  Maybe not in the future but right now

DXKX.com   The repeating Xs will keep the bids coming.
.
FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

.
WebFashion.com   18 years old.  The web and fashion are the match made in heaven
.
HHNI.com  Western Premium.  I for International
.
MockingJay.com  I used to own this one.  The movies are the driver and I can attest it gets traffic
.
KidNames.com  Surprised there are only 4 bids at press time.  Kid name sites always seem to do real well. And then you sell them baby stuff
.
Nebes.com   Good five letter dot com with just a few bidders
.
NameYourself.com  Great brand brand.   Sell your domains yourself
.
LupusHelp.com  I didn’t think people still get Lupus but evidently 200,000 people get it every year.
.
SolarPlace.com  77 people think solar names are worth investing in. Or at least want to watch people that think so
.
MaleEnhance.com  I saw some a bunch of companies advertising this kind of stuff……….nevermind.  Dick stuff makes money
.
SSPV.com   You almost forget that there is a V in this one
.
SovietRussia.com  One of the toughest parts of the world.   I actually don’t know, I just love Rocky.  One bidder
.
ePhoto.com    I think this is one of the best names on the list today.  As good as StockPhotos in use. Not in keywords of course
.
bNb.co   I’m throwing you a bone Drew.   Nice name, even for a dot co
.
2933.net   The kind of 4N.net you want to buy
.
IOJO.com  The exact opposite of what the Chinese are looking for.  Which means it will probably be worth a fortune in a few years
.

  1. I am glad for you, you’ve been one of the few guys(if not the only) in the domaining industry that has stuck their neck out and made predictions……still not biting on the .NETS and .CC’s though

    1. Yippee,

Skipping nets and dot cc hasn’t lost you anything. Dot cc are just now starting to move and dot nets have only been all LLL and numerics

  2. No sarcasm, you definitely have been the Rick Schwartz of LLLL.com’s and short .com’s the past 5 years. Only difference is Mr. Schwartz would’ve gone all in. But the proof is all here on your blog.

    1. Tony,
The biggest difference is he didn’t sell. I needed the income so I sold. But I am still adding every day and have to sell less now that I have made a bit more money. There is only Rick and I am not really in his class other than two guys with a big mouth 🙂

  3. Congrat’s on the sale. I had one of my llll.com snatched from my gdaddy account via an afternic listing from the previous owner!!! I apparently clicked on an email from afternic that relisted the name without letting me manage the listing. “Poof” the name was purchased and gone to China. ouch. Make sure any names you have don’t have a previous sale price and listing from another site. Go .cc!! 😉

  4. I saw ‘nosmart.com’ and though ‘NoS mart’ – like nitrous oxide for your car.

Also, the mattress domain was typo. Not sure how that affected the price since it was closed by the time I came on this morning…

(and by ‘morning’ I mean 3pm)…
