DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, Feb 20th, 2015

Escrow.com

Yesterday I had my eye on the domain SweetJane.com  I normally don’t bid on names I put on my list unless I’ve put in the bid before the list gets published.  I put in a $500 bid that eventually got taken out. But as soon as my bid got taken out a new bidder jump in and start a new one.  They went back in forth all the way up to $1530 with the new bidder outlasting the original guy.  It took so long I was able to go to lunch and come back and watch it end.  I still love the name and don’t even think $1500 is a bad price, I just would rather pool my money and buy a bigger name that is more liquid at this point.  Still fun to watch.  Here are today’s names.

NaturalGains.com  Nice blog or site name for $25.  Only one bidder.  And I have been making them with my lack of running due to the cold

WMQC.com  Qs, Xs and Zs are the shit right now.  Just have to figure out which letters the Chinese don’t want.  Vs and Us seem to not be their favorite

InternetBandwidth.com   I like it, don’t love it.  But its getting some good bids

Skoto.com  Not a bad 5L.com for $12.  No bidders.  If nobody takes it I will

NetRecorder.com  I like it at its current price.  No bidders. 11 years old

OVDF.com  Opening bid is $50 and I think it’s worth this or more

HowToBrewBeer.com  32 million results tells me people are looking to learn how to brew beer.  Or at least people enjoy writing about it.  Has a good bid already

MRWX.com  Already over $1000

MRWN.com  $900 cheaper.  X evidently is worth $900

BabySales.com  You know how hard it is to get a good deal on a baby right now?  You can tell the economy is better, babies have really risen in price

Listhings.com   typo of Listthings.com but a pretty nifty website and has a $19K bid which always gets my attention

5.uk   Love the fact that they put search results in this one.  Who searches for 5?  But still an awesome domain

CloudStorageSolutions.com   Huge CPC for the term cloud storage. Pretty sure its the driver on the bids

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration. gofdsp401c

PWU.com  20 years old. Decent name.  Should do OK

EB7.com  The LLN.coms have been going for a lot more money than last year.  I think it continues for many years to come

RediMix.com  There are a ton of concrete companies called RediMix.  Time for one to upgrade

NewYorkJobs.net  I know its a dot net but no bidders and I would think the NY job market is pretty damn big. 16 years old

TopFilms.com  I figured there would be a few bidders but actually 48.  People are always looking for movies to watch

101SexPositions.com  I’m slowly working my way through.  I’m still on the table of contents

Accomodating.com  I don’t really like these types of names but its not what I like, its what people will buy and they buy these types of names.  At least at auction

CommercialPlumbing.com  Upgrade name for a bunch of companies and a thing.  You know, when you plumb a commercial

Koxa.com  I’m not scared of Xs anymore.  As a matter of fact I have a crush on them now

WeatherGrade.com  I give Urbana an F

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help.  For a small fee we can put your name in the list.  Keep in mind, if I don’t think the name has a chance of selling I will not list the name, fee or not.

*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct

  1. SweetJane – nice name but maybe you were attracted to it because it sounds like the name of a flower/plant 🙂

  2. MRWX.com – Wx is an abbreviation for Weather, so the domain is a shortened Mister Weather. I was watching it too until it became apparent that I was not the only one on to this!
