DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, January 16th, 2015

Escrow.com

Missed another daily list yesterday but I was pretty much exhausted after Namescon this week.  I walked so much between the conference and MGM (where I stayed) that I think I pretty much could still make my around the place if it they made it Space Mountain dark.  And I’m not going to lie, after 6 or 7 Red Bulls and vodka it was pretty close to a roller coaster ride home.  I had an incredible time at the conference but I am so looking forward to being able to get a water out of the fridge and not pay $3.  Even Namescon raised money for charity by charging $3.  My water bill in Vegas was higher than my irrigation system water bill back in the drought of 2012.   I tried to avoid too much junk food and did a good job until my morning flight at the airport. There really wasn’t anything to eat there and I got something I hadn’t gotten in years.  A cinnabon.  Is was damn goods but I pray that nobody in there with me sits next to me on the flight.  They also were out of drinks except for …you guessed it, water.  My bill. Cinnabon $4.17, Fiji water $5.  Well played Vegas, well played.    Here are today’s names.

MI2.com  1993 Domain which you don’t see very often. Add to it that it’s an CCC.com and you have a name that you should want to own

MarineCharts.com  Nautical charts is more widely used but I think this one would still have some value in that field. 17 years old.  No bidders

GetTrademark.com  Comes across a little like a caveman talking.  Only one bidder and would make a good call to action, marketing name

ToyFinders.com  No bidders.  Not huge value but I used to collect toys and I know there is an aftermarket for older toys and those hard to find toys during Christmas

uBoost.com  11 years old.  PR4 and 29 bidders

YDTI.com  Putting it here because it only had 3 bidders at $17.  Imagine there will be more soon

83587.com  Going for a little cheaper than some of the other 5N.coms have been during this same point in the auctions

ExerciseShoes.com  Not a lot of people use this term but I can still see the value EDIT: Someone else did too. Sold at BIN

Blueberry.com  Fantastic name but seller probably wants a fortune

Invitation.net   Solid name.  Plenty of uses.  I think we’re going to see quite a bit of dot nets being moved this year.  In my opinion I think the prices hold steady from here

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: A 99 Cent Dot Com Registration GOFDAU10

MaxHardcore.com  We talked about this one DomainSherpa the other day.  Lots of adult traffic.  Already at $10K

SSNN.com  20 years old.  Visually pretty although I think that’s over rated.  At least when judging ME

GameBit.com  Some may be thinking Bitcoin but I would go video games.  More stable

Distract.com  I would love to own this one.  Pretty sure it will be out of my range

SellingYou.com   The old saying about getting a job. You are selling you. 18 years old

DDQ.com   Double Dairy Queen.  Actually doing very very well for ending in a Q

Imbalance.com   Dictionary word and that’s usually enough for most people

DubaiResorts.com  Dubai has done amazing things and has amazing places. And most importantly they have tons of money

WhatNotToWear.com  Great fashion site name.  I think it goes for less than value

Tester.org  A lot of uses.  Hard to monetize a dot org but you don’t have to monetize it, just sell it

CivilMarriage.com  May be the best value on the board based on number of bids

IFuckedTheBabySitter.com   And the award for worst work email goes to…………..

  1. Be glad you have water. be grateful that you can turn on a tap and assume water will always come out. Be grateful that your $3 water had no chemicals or sheep poop added. So many women in developing nations have to walk each day 30 miles to a well and fill a 10 gallon tank and carry it back on their heads. They will never see the inside of a Casino or have a chance to lose money because they have none to begin with. You are blessed. We are all blessed.

    1. Fred,

You are right, we should never take water for granted. You do know that Richard Lau and Namescon raised over $150K for WaterSchool that helps exactly those that you’ve mentioned with a fundraiser/party that all of us gave to? Your comments are appreciated but a donation would be even better. HERE is the page and the donate button is to the right. Thanks for turning my humor into a geo political conversation but hopefully a few donations will come out of it.

  2. I don’t think it will do very well in my opinion. Dot info means that it is a product that people are looking for information about. Never heard of a branded. It’s a past tense verb. It would work on another extension better

  3. Thanks a lot buddy, Sorry buy the way, you already responded on my question in last article. I saw that later. Thanks a lot once again.
