DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, June 26th, 2015

Escrow.com

Not sure what’s in the waters but I’ve received more inquiries for my domains in the last two weeks than I’ve had all year.  And they’ve been strong .  Six months after pulling my 10 to 20 names off a Brand and Logo domain type sales site,  I have sold 2 with one more about to close. One at less the price I had listed and one for 50% more. But I didn’t pay the 30% commission or the logo fee so I made thousands more than I would have having it listed.  Again, it’s nothing against brand domain sales platforms.  Its just the commissions are ridiculous for what you get and you get absolutely no data.  DNS gives me parking revenue and I get to sell me name for free.  The only way anyone could ever convince me to list it with a third party logo site is if they could give me concrete proof that a high percentage of their sales were from visit that are 2nd page or deeper i.e. searching, looking, and buying.  I think they came up with a name, typed it in, and then bought it.  Not came up with a name, landed on the site, and found a better one.  Again, I have no proof but nobody has given concrete evidence to the contrary.  If they do I will certainly post it and give them credit where credit is due. In the meantime I’m keeping the 30% and selling more names because of the negotiation flexibility.  Here are today’s names

WKPQ.com  One of the few older LLLL.coms (19 years old) to also be a good Chinese name. It’s old because its a TV/Radio domain that just happens to have a K and a Q

NaughtyBird.com  No bidders.  Not sure if has any value but I would buy the app for 99cents.  Seeing a game like flappy bird except the bird has a big dong and you have to keep him from hitting things with it.

SelectiveFocus.com   Great blog name.  Only one bidder.  I have it, your wife says you do to

BeautyShack.com  No bidders.  Upgrade name for a few companies

WMJS.com  A lot higher than I thought it would be.  Old radio name as well

KWDS.com  And one more.  I’m guessing all the bids have nothing to do with radio

CreativeLeaf.com   Two word domain that would make a great brand.  No bidders

CandyPeach.com  Also 12 years old and no bidders.  Peach is the world’s favorite fruit smell.  I saw that on Family Feud

OnlinePregnancyTest.com  “just pee on the keyboard and get instant results” And you know they will

FenceGuys.com  A lot of companies with this name.  Upgrade name and just one bidder

679333.com   The triple letter 6N.coms are killing it

VERIFIED GODADDY COUPON CODE: $1.99 New Registration Godaddy STATE

FatBurn.com   Doing amazingly well.  Can’t believe it hasn’t met reserve at this price

Grunge.com  So much more than an era of music.  Great one word brand

Neuter.com  Still Reek

Bowl.net  Nobody likes it but me. Can’t even get to $100 And the owner doesn’t want to sell it to me cheap for some reason

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

Quarry.net  I work with several quarries and I know that a few of these would buy this one at the right price. Only 9 10 bidders

PlanoHomes.com  Best football in Texas. Big homes, big money, all white

Labs.com   Screams tech and dogs

GCCA.com   18 years old

Illustrated.com   Most bids on the board

Shadows.com   The plural throws me off a little but doesn’t seem to bother anyone else.  Tons of bids

MarketingClass.com  Everyone wants to learn to sell.  Half is learned, the other half is experience

PropertyPrices.com  As good of a name as Zillow

RepossessedHouses.com   Like dropping domains, everyone thinks they are getting a steal buying a repossessed home
