DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Monday, June 29th, 2015

Escrow.com

Today is another edition of the DomainSherpa show with Adam, Michael, myself and a new member of the crew, Ali Zandi.  Ali and I are eventually going to be neighbors but that’s for another post.  But I wanted to clarify what might not be clarified on the show.   I talk about two word exact match domains having lost some value of the last few years.  It got misconstrued that they aren’t good domains and I don’t feel that at all. What I meant is that they used to have resale value based on their end user value AND parking revenue.  And the parking revenue on some of them were incredible.  That has changed.  The parking revenue is gone for most leaving just the end user or auction value.   That can still be great if its the right keywords, but many are “too generic” keywords that don’t represent a big enough product category to build a site around.  These are the domains that used to have value based on parking but are now tough to sell.  This explanation still may not be enough to get my point across but wanted to make sure people don’t think I’m stupid enough to think the portfolio we review today has no value.  You can think I’m stupid for a lot of other reasons.  Here are today’s names

AFactor.com  17 years old.  Bids are based on it being A as in the first letter of the alphabet rather than an article (a, the, an)

OnlineCoupon.com   Big Boy Name.  Under $4K is a good buy IMO

ShortLegs.com  Elliot and I should be awarded this name for free.  No bidders

2344.net  The double fours slows down the price but hasn’t stopped it

DogClothing.com  Mentioned this one the other day.  Could be a big name to an enduser that actually sells clothes for the pooches.

WDJW.com  Call letters of a radio station but I’m sure the Chinese guy that buys it isn’t really going to care

WholesaleVibrators.com  Not much value but one of the better gag emails I’ve seen for $12

EpicVacations.com  No bidders.  Although if you go with this name you’re setting the bar pretty high on the vacations you can deliver

LemonRain.com  Don’t buy it.  It’s just pee

LiveDocs.com  No bidders.  Live documents.  Real time anything has some value

831222.com  If you can figure out which 6N.com have the best resale value you will make tens of thousands. Let me know if you do.  This one will probably hit $1K

QOQ.cc  I think if you buy under $30 you will make money on them in 2016.   My opinion only

HG6858.com  I’ve said it before but at these prices I need to learn more about these Chinese names that have two letters in front.  JS and HG are two of the more popular, or at least getting the best price results

VERIFIED GODADDY COUPON CODE: $1.99 New Registration Godaddy STATE

TheWestsideStory.net  A website for sale.  Very interesting.  Getting a potential business if description matches what you are actually buying

Described.com One word dot com.   I have trouble figuring out what to use this one for but not stopping the bidder

Invisibles.io  I actually had no idea what these were. Its a future tech and tech and IO go together well.  I told the owner I didn’t think it was worth anything. I am wrong and the bidders prove it

Faja.com  I like this one a lot but not getting any bids. Domain Holdings needs to manage their names though.  There were three bids pending as I type this.

UV.com  Can I borrow a million dollars ?  I really want to own this

Tourist.org   Great travel writer domain.  Domain Holdings certainly is adding quality to Flippa.  Even if they aren’t adding a ton of sales

LoveDay.com  Plenty of uses for this love positive name.  And we’re all about love right now

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

NoMoreBackPain.com  I’ve said it before. People with back pain will do anything to get rid of it.  No bidders

L8S.com  Minimum $250 on this based on past sales at Godaddy

Projects.com  Maybe the most sought after pending delete in years

NDNW.com  Its not good that I see NSFW when I see this one.  I need a cleansing

GetRidOfWarts.com   HowToGetRidOfWarts.com  did well, this one might as well. I’m a bidder
