DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Monday, March 16th, 2015

Escrow.com

Yesterday I spent the day with my 90 year old grandfather.  I enjoy my time with him more than anything I do.  Now that he’s gotten older he answers every question I have in full detail.  He is a great businessman and has done incredible things.  If I didn’t know the stories were true I would think they were all made up.  He used to have a Gull Winged Mercedes, a 1937 Rolls Royce.   A professional pilot that flew people and cargo to Cuba.  Took a group of friends and a bunch of guns and broke a Chicago teamsters / mafia line to get his nursery product that he was storing in Chicago and they wouldn’t let him have without paying. Flew to Europe just to pick up a set of dishes my grandmother broke.  The stories are endless which is expected with a experience filled life of a 90 year old.  And most importantly,he’s a good business person.  He loves talking business and strategy.  Some things have changed but most haven’t.  I just sit there listen and smile.  And he loves the fact that I come to eat lunch with him and ask questions about his life.  I can tell him the issues I have and he give me advice. Advise from someone who has been there, done that.  He’s rich but worked with his hands every day. He knows the hours it takes to run your own business but didn’t like the fact his Dad wasn’t home much because of it.  And because of days like yesterday I am smarter, happier, and wiser.  And no amount of money or technology can duplicate that.   Here are today’s names

AsiaBusiness.com  If you want to do business, this is the place where you want to do it.  Lots of bids

MMYR.com  All good letters. R for Radish.  14 years old

Nonos.com  71 million results in Google and over $300 at press time

DraftWise.com  12 years old. No bidders.  As good of a name as DraftKings.  A billion dollar business

VWME.com   What would VW.me go for ?  I think that alone raises this value quite a bit.   Only one bidder at $12

OOXK.com   No bids for the 4L with double O’s.

GeorgiaFoothills.com Not huge value but more than the $12 bid IMO

PVHM.com   10 years old.   M for management

EasyCreditRepair.com   I wasn’t going to have my credit repaired but if its going to be easy I might as well.  Only one bidder.  11 free visits with purchase

68379.com   Could hit $1000.  Half way there right now

ZNLO.com  Z at the beginning is the best spot you can have it.  The Chinese have started buying X and Z names.  But don’t seem to be interested in this one

DRQJ.com Doctor QJ, paging Doctor QJ.

Alligators.com  Get it before the new sports team does

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

Troubleshoots.com  15 years old.   No reserve.  At $15.  Every company in the world has to troubleshoot

Rarry.com   Catchy 5L with a whole lotta R’s.

FootballMagazine.com  I knew this one was going to do well but had no idea it would do this well.  14 years old and football is the biggest sports in the world. Soccer and American football. Both in play here

MailConsultants.com  12 years old.  No reserve.   Seller sees this as a snail mail play.  I see it as an email play.  Especially with the Hillary Clinton thing

Flowering.com  I would be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in this one.  Great brand.  For more than just plants

TheGraph.com  Certainly worth more than the $12 its at now

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration.  gofdsp401c

IWantMoreSex.com  What man doesn’t.  You see these ads all the time about getting a bigger johnson or getting more action. Maybe I’m visiting different sites than you.  No bidders

Fukkin.com  No bidders.  The text version of the above.  Good adult name

TheRefer.com Really surprised this one has no bids considering the rise of pot

HempThings.com   Woody Harrelson approves.  580 million in sale of hemp products in 2014

GayCat.com  If grumpy cat can generate millions then Gay cat should bring in billions.  No bidders

A5Y.com Namejet used to have these CCC.coms a little cheaper than GD did.  That’s not true anymore.  But not many bidders here

1303.com   You can have this over FIRST’s cold dead hands.  At $15K

USD.org  The USD has made a huge comeback.  Put your money in USD not euros

DomainNameAgent.com  Domain Name Agents may not want you to have this one

BaliImports.com   An upgrade domain for a few sites, including the .com.au. No bidders.

EasyWills.com  I liked this one on DomainSherpa.  Nobody else did and only 6 bids

  1. Thanks for sharing, Shane. “The stories are endless which is expected with an experience-filled life of a 90 year old.” Those are incredible stories… not the average stories told by many people, regardless of their age. You should consider a family biography/memoirs (if you haven’t already).
