DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Saturday, September 12th, 2015

Escrow.com

With all the discussion on liquidity all I can think is that everyone ought to be thankful they have all the auction houses.  Without them most of us would not make as much money or be able to find as many good domains.  We would spend so much more time trying to find quality domains and twice as much time trying to find buyers.  The buy and hold model works incredibly well when you sell enough early one to provide enough money to provide the lifestyle you want and pay the bills.  But for most they need to create revenue and that means shorter term sales.  That’s where the auction houses are very helpful.  Could we have sold the name for more down the road?  Yes.   But some times I want to sell 10 average names, make a profit, and buy one great one. The auction houses help do this. Here are today’s names.

IGI.org   Opening bid is $250 and I think its worth that.  20 years old

PlaceOrders.com  You could use this to …..place….orders.

NSYN.com  All I see is one letter short of my favorite boy band NSync.   C’mon you know you love Justin Timberlake

Bikes.cc   If you’re going to buy non numeric .cc then this is the kind you want to buy.  3 bids

GGJG.com  Into the four figures.  Collectibles are back to being hot again

31828.com  One of the better 5N.coms this week.  And all the bids confirm it

69353.com   Actually doing better than the above

GYM.me  One of the first .me I’ve seen doing well in the last few weeks

5855.cc  Would be $40-50K if it were a dot com IMO

MakeAnything.com    I’d like to make a million dollars

NSF.cc   At $300 at press time

87520.com   At $800 plus at press time

60105.com  10 years old.  Over under $500

VDD.biz  I have no idea why its this high

DancingStars.com  Doesn’t have to be Dancing With the Stars knock off.  Dancers have become stars with all the new dancing shows.  A few bidders

Jimmy.me  At $30.  Worth 10 times that as an email alone

New GODADDY COUPON CODE: None Work, None. Click the link to See that None of them Work Godaddy Click This For No Savings

Prevents.com  No reserve.  A little over $200

3GL.com  No reserve and its under $500

PRME.com  Page Rank,  Press Release.  Should do well

Bloggerz.com  11 years old and not even one bidder at $1

EdibleGardens.com  12 years old and I really like it.  But no bidders at $1.   It doesn’t help that the seller is ediblegardens.  Makes you think they might really like the name and not want to sell it if thats also their user name.

NYRestaurants.com  One bidder at $10.   19 years old.  Tens of thousands of restaurants in NY yet nobody wants this domain?

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

MaineBlueberries.com   The best blueberries in the world.  Michigan is second.

SellingForum.com  I would love to read a forum full of salesman.

ProTime.com  Because Amateur Hour is so 90s

MSBA.com  18 years old.  A for association

FBRL.com L for league.  No vowels or V

WhoCovers.com  Great gambling name.  17 years old

Lucie.com  Top bid getter on the board today

Deers.com   I know a few people with this last name and I know a few people that have shot some

  1. Regarding bloggerz.com and ediblegardens.com: the BIN’s likely give an indication of their reserve prices, given they’re both new accounts and sound relatively unsophisticated. 4K for bloggerz.com *might* be worthy, but 30K for ediblegardens?

Where BIN’s on Flippa are stated, they should make it into the description as an extra data point =)
