DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, April 16th, 2015

Escrow.com

I think one of the most undervalued part of a good domain name is its use an email.  An email is your lifeblood to communication.  Having a good email that you can give out verbally and have the other person remember it easily is valuable.  One could say that a good gmail address does the same thing and I don’t disagree.  Gmail works because it is so popular that if you have a memorable short left side then your recipient will remember.  But a short left side is very hard to come by.  Numbers and letters usually have to be added to create a new one at this point.  With your own domain you can have anything you want on the left.  An domain for only email may not have the same value as one used for commerce but it certainly has great value.  Something that should not be overlooked.  Here are today’s domains

Here are today’s domains

Celg.com   One of my top stock holdings is Celgene.  That’s all I think of when I see this.   (that’s their stock symbol)

RTPO.com  All good letters.  But not a lot of bidders

ChefTraining.com   Culinary school is a better term but still says what the school or site does

  1. One major drawback of having a cool gmail addy is spam: I have my first name @gmail.com and without fail get 50-80 spam messages every day of the year lol.
