DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, March 26th, 2015

Escrow.com

Elliot announced Ryan Colby sold a domain for $1.4 million.  Problem is, he didn’t tell anyone the name.  Said it was a 4-8 letter generic. Aka one of a million different names.  In my opinion, these types of announcements really don’t serve a purpose.  Ryan is undoubtedly one of the best domain brokers in the world but his announcement doesn’t nothing for anyone but his image.  He proves he can sell big domains but we have no comps to give us data to make better purchases and sales in the future.  He’s just giving himself a pat on the back which he deserves.  He’s proven everything he needs to prove by now.  Again, just my thought but I imagine there are a few others out there that are thinking the same thing. Here are today’s names

DirtyFighting.com  No bids.  I don’t like cheating but I like mud so it depends on where this buildout heads before I visit.

PerfectBook.com  Reading is popular again with the newest generation.  Thank goodness.  People that don’t read books lack imagination. guide them to good books with this domain

LoudSpeak.com  Sounds like a tech company or app.  Only one bidder

LPTP.com  Something something toilet paper

Hookio.com   No bidders.  If you buy hook.io you would want this one but I think it’s a great brand for $12

ManPride.com  One bidder at $10.  Some men just don’t have it

NYPJ.com   New York Poodle Jerky.   If you haven’t had Poodle jerky you haven’t lived.  Labradoodle jerky is too spicy for me

UAFO.com   United Air Freight Organization. U Are Freaking Outrageous. Under Armour For Outdoors.

FlowerFriendly.com  No bidders.  Not sure if it has value but I sure am and like it

 58731.com  No 4s and an 8.  Over under $400

82605.com  Ending in 5 is almost as good as 8 and the prices seem to be closing about at the same place

RedGloves.com  Red Noun names always make good brands and sell well.  Singular is better but this is still nice.  Cheaper than singular

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration. gofdsp401c

Motto.io  Another nice dot io that would make an excellent brand or startup.  At $1

BodyAches.com  16 years old and met reserve.  12,000 searches a month and $5 CPC.  And with this winter weather in the Midwest, millions of us have them

Discountz.com   Deal names always do well. Evidently even those with a Z

Pissy.com  As clean of a name as this person has for sale.  NSFW list when you get to auction

GraduateSchool.com   Great name with lots of comps

DrinkResponsibly.com This one is just begging to be bought by a major beverage company

OnlineMeetups.com    It’s all about meeting up somewhere.  And if you can’t be there in person this is how you party.  At $1

MobileGameDevelopment.com  Billion dollar industry and every person would love to develop an app or phone game. Somebody in this industry should want to own this

ComoEngordar.com   Spanish for how to gain weight, with lots of search volume per Estibot (27,000 per month). The .org, .info and .biz are developed.

Velocipedo.com   Spanish for a type of bike….ElVelocipedo.com is developed.

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

2M.net  I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a NL.net come up for auction.  I would love to own it

Pistorius.com   Everyone knows this because of Oscar

LetsWorkout.com  I’ve watched fitness domains rise to a new level. This is a perfect call to action domain in that niche

Physician.biz  If you’re going to buy a dot biz this is probably a decent one

VVTT.com  Sure is pretty.  Cause it repeats and stuff

90700.com  Also pretty. Cause its all round and stuff

UHJJ.com   Only one repeater, vs the two above. No love for JJ.

NVIY.com   So much cooler than spelling it ENVY

DailyTraining.com  I love this one one.  But I also love daily training.  I also know how many people like to or at least pretend to workout

VintageVegas.com  Only a few bidders.  There is a ton of great history that comes with the world’s most fun town

  1. If you can’t post the name that sold, then it didn’t sell. Stop patting yourself on the back unless you can actually share some information.

  2. I have to agree if you can’t disclose the name the sale really can’t take place, I learned a long time ago you can’t believe everything you read on the interweb. It really serves no purpose making such statements other than a cry for needless attention.

  3. Hello, are you getting emails ok? Had some I wanted to list, haven’t gotten a reply last couple of days.

  4. Are you getting emails ok? I’ve emailed a couple of inquiries, haven’t had a response last couple of days, thanks.

  5. As a fitness freak / bodybuilder / former gym owner , I definitely love LetsWorkout.com & DailyTraining.com.
EVERYONE should do some sort of workout.
