DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, March 5th, 2015

Escrow.com

One of the most nerve racking part of life is when it comes time to be measured.  That time when your effort is going to be analyzed and measured by others.  I face it quite a bit in my running.  I train for eight months.  Every morning, some nights, I push myself to the point of uncomfortable in order to get to another level of uncomfortable the is faster and stronger than before.  And all that effort is measure on one day.  Race day. All that work comes down to a 3 hour period that will let myself and everyone know what shape I got in to.  I had that same experience on DomanSherpa that will be shown on Monday.  A look in to the names that I’ve acquired over the years.  We didn’t go into my account and see what money I have made over the years and what domains I sold but merely looked at the mix of names I presently hold.  I felt like I was being measured.  And that’s OK.  That’s how we keep score.  I respect the opinions of Adam and Drew as much as anyone in this industry and they are becoming good friends so I know they were being nice in their analysis.  But the even took me back to my race day.  Confident but a little nervous about the event. I didn’t get a medal but I was happy with my time.  Here are today’s names

DoBox.com  Short box names seem to always do well.  This one is no different

PerfectTits.com  I know this is a little bit dirty but I’m all about resale value and this one has it at this price

EGHN.com  14 years old.  N for Nancy.

BDHE.com   I like this one more than the above.  Actually I like the above better.  I can’t make up my mind.  Maybe I’ll buy both

DWRX.com  The X would have killed it a year ago. Now it makes it hot

U9Y.com  $100 left to run IMO

FunnySmile.com  Not huge value but NO bidders so it may be a $12 investment.  Short, memorable, and easy to type

BYBV.com  Under $40 at press time

BeginnerEnglish.com  No bidders.  Have to start somewhere

TJSY.com  Should  go over $600 based on current bids

7163.net  Based on the 10% rule this one should be $1200 but I’m more of a 5% rule now

WUXO.com  Getting no love at all

EONX.com Next bid should hit the reserve

Foodling.com Love this one at under $50

RXL.com  Met reserve at $11K.  A few more days left though.  Europeans used to get some great deals with the Euro being so strong.  Now its our turn with the dollar being the strong one

GayDeals.com  13 years old.   The gay market is hundreds of millions of dollars.  The gay cruise market alone makes this worth more than the bid.  At $100

Wildly.com  The wonderkind Federer is back and he’s got a good one here.  Even if he didn’t it would go for a lot.  He’s that good

Suga.com  Not your average CVCV.com   This one is sweet

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration. gofdsp401c

OnePass.com  19 years old.  Not sure what this pass is going to get me in to but I’m super excited

MarketWeek.com  MarketWatch, MarketWeek.com  Looks like it has value to me

JetRental.com  This one isn’t going to go cheap.  If it does I will own it

OrderSushi.com  I don’t really like sushi all that much but I would never admit it

PrepSchools.com  Great name for a directory or a site to help people choose

NegativePositive.com  No bidders.  Not a bad pickup for $69.  Certainly memorable.

FancyCars.com  Love this one.  Everyone dreams of having a fancy car.  A lot of people dream of having this domain according to the amount of bidders

Juiz.com   A cool way of spelling Juice

eAte.com   Online eating

Yens.com  I actually skipped over this one and saw it had the most bids on the board.  Shows I don’t know anything

15100.com  Already at $2000 so it can’t be too bad

15200.com  Half of the above

  1. What’s the deal with 5 number coms? They seem to be going crazy on godaddy. A year ago you could sometimes get them in the closeouts.
