Christmas week has started. The week where nobody gets anything done at work and do their last minute online ordering. Today is about the last day you can order something and have it make it to you house in time for Christmas. Online sales have undoubtedly killed retail shopping this year. Our shopping areas were the least crowded I have ever seen. Don’t take my advice but any publicly traded company that only has retain stores and relies on Christmas as their major sales period will not hit their numbers in my opinion. It may already be built in to the numbers but I go by parking available and yesterday I could park no problem at all the stores and the mall. I know exactly why because I went and shopped, could;t find what I wanted (and sometimes I did) but I went home and ordered it on Amazon or RunningWarehouse. As a running family I ordered a ton of stuff there. Got a RetailMeNot coupon and paid $10 overnight shipping and had all my stuff in 18 hours. Yup, under 24 hours. It was fantastic. That’s a good point. Usually Godaddy only lets GD names come through, even as a 3rd party seller they want you to have it at Godaddy to assure transfer
Yea, it’s actually not possible to list at GD if the name is not with them.
I think GoDaddy allows you to list a name when it is registered somewhere else but prefers the name be at GoDaddy. At least that is what they say.
This is from GoDaddy’s FAQ:
Can I keep the domain registered where it is and still list it at GoDaddy Auctions?
On GoDaddy Auctions®, you can sell domains that are registered with any registrar. However, we recommend you transfer the domain to us, which includes a one-year extension to the current registration period.
