DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, May 16th

Escrow.comWhen I went to my first domain conference back in 2009  I didn’t know a soul.  I had been writing DomainShane for a few months so I knew of a few people but I was still a newbie.  I could see all the old friends meeting and shaking hands.  Having private meetings, going out at night.  I just kind of watched.  But there were 4 guys that came up to me, introduced themselves,  and became instant friends.  Morgan Linton, Oscar Correa, Ron Wells, and Jason Thompson.  I consider them friends for life.   They are the ones that got me in to the industry.  That answered the questions that I had been waiting to ask.   Now Jason Thompson has put together a conference that is going to help more people.  To bridge the gap between the Startup community and domain investors.  Its called The Domain Startup Summit.  He and another one of my friends. Dwayne Walker have a lot of experience in this field and Dwayne was a big part of putting together DomainFest in Santa Monica so he knows what he’s doing.  If you’re in the area at the end of July I highly suggest you attend.  I have never had anything but a great experience when I have been around these two.

Here are today’s names. Click to see current prices

Arran.com    Island off of Scotland so its used in a variety of products and business names. 20 years old

ClearWindow.com  Could be used for so many things.  Tech or actual window cleaning. 19 years old

Hygenics.com   Sounds like a personal care line or a high end line of toilet paper

RedCookie.com  I wouldn’t recommend it as a brand because it brings bad things to mind.  But memorable

BackgroundRecords.com   I pay $30 every time I get them.  Has to be some affiliate program

UGrub.com    Vowels in front are still working.   Grub is the key to the success here and of all the vowels I like it the best here.

WBFW.com  a decade ago this was worth $2K plus and IMO its worth just as much or more now

Mutely.com  Not even sure if its a real word but I am going to pretend it means silent.  Short and spells out just like it sounds which is a good thing

GetSalted.com  A term used for salt therapy.   Also good for tequila shot therapy

AutoBlogger.com    I think autoblog is a better name but this serves the same use and is much cheaper

CM88.com   Short and with 88.  In the past and in the future, 88 is gold to the Asian market

FG15.com  Not quite as good as the above but still short and in demand.  Getting a pretty good bid already

BubbleTrack.com  Doesn’t mean anything but I did like the sound of it for a tech company.  Mostly because its two words people know and can remember and it can be anything. No bidders

IveChanged.com  When they have to tell you they have it usually means they haven’t.  No bidders

AgelessDesign.com   and  DesignSlinger.com   Two design names with some good backlinks and getting some good bids.

ThatMomentWhen.com   A Berkens kind of name.   Meaning for everyone else they sell it for a few grand to a company but he gets $20K

YoureMyFavorite.com  I bet you say that to all the boys

Starb.com   Almost every 5L.com that makes a pronounceable word is worth at least $50 IMO

CloudClicks.com   You can pretty much add anything to the keyword Cloud and have it worth something

CPKV.com  MXXO.com

JTZ.co  YBY.co  XCY.co  TPX.co   The value has fallen but still getting $300 plus on all CHiPs

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

Woodpeckers.com    Under $20.    Woody is probably the best known of the woodpeckers.  Woodpecker.co sold for $1700

FF.tv  Big name.  but a big renewal.    The renewal is no problem for a big media company. It just may be for the time that you hold it waiting to sell it to them

Dreamr.com   This type was hot 8 years ago. Still has some value IMO

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

MediaCapture.com   I would name my PR firm this in a heartbeat.  Capture the market

Q15.com    It’s amazing that many people don’t see how this could ever be a brand and yet they hop into their car called A5 or Q60

IPlaySlots.com  Slots are some of the biggest moneymakers for states like Illinois.  No bidders but name would be a great marketing name for a casino or video game poker/slots place.  1999 name

GPSLogger.com   Because you gotta keep track of stuff

WoodShingles.com   Closing today.  Talked about these getting harder to find because of fire laws.  80 bidders

GrowerNews.com  No bidders.  Nice name for a site on Cannabis or plant growing

KPPK.com   If you like ABBA names there are only a few left coming up for auction

AKCN.com  CN for China or Charging Network

XXXE.com  Porn with an E

CocoBear.com  Not worth a ton but certainly memorable.  No bidders

Littlestown.com   A town in Pennsylvania.  4400 potential buyers

Notebooking.com  Almost met reserve.  44 bidders.   A term for keeping a journal

MyCry.com   You always feel more comfortable buying a name when Frank Schilling and company are the top bidders

EatVegan.com   You didn’t think I was going to miss this one.  Worth millions

IntoFitness.com   I feel like I would see this on a license plate  N2FTNESS

  1. Shane,

Thank you for the kind comments. You’ve definitely made the domain industry better with your insight. Not to mention you have always been a great friend. I’m really looking for to Domain Startup Summit and am keen on bridging that gap. It will be better for the Domain Industry and better for the Startup Industry if we can act as one cohesive unit.

Thanks again bud and maybe we will see you out here!
