I did something I don’t do a lot last night. I stayed up and watched the Cubs game. I grew up in Illinois, lived a block from Wrigley for a few years, and have always been a Cubs fan. I know the players, watch a lot of games, been to hundreds. But I also literally don’t lose sleep over games. I will go to bed right in the middle of the game to make sure I get enough sleep. But I felt like last night’s game was the most important of the series and I was hoping to see the Cubs finally play well. If they lost, the series is over with Kershaw pitching the next game. (turns out he isn’t pitching the next game though). If you saw the score, the game was absolutely worth staying up for and missing my morning run.
