DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s List of Domains at Auction for Saturday, January 30th

Escrow.com

I know I said I had some news about some domain investments I had made but it is going to half to wait until next week until a few things are finalized. Not a big deal just some info on some things I’m doing.   In 5L.com news, I had someone in the know tell me that there were only 45K 5L.coms that are CHiPs, Chinese preferred letters. And that 2 million of the 3 million total had sold.  In other words, a CHiP sellout will be official any day now.

Finally I am going have an article soon asking a few questions to a group of the guys that I look to every day to answer questions and discuss strategy and the domain business. I’m going to ask them where they see the market headed this year.  Where do they think we’ll stand at the end of 2016.  Some of their favorite areas to invest.  Some of their favorite new niches.  And of course lots of questions about their views of the Chinese markets.  My go to group includes Yoni Belousov, James Booth, Andy Booth, Andrew Rosener, Steven Kennedy, Giuseppe Graziano.  It will be interesting to hear what they have to say. They are some of the biggest domain investors in the world, or brothers of one 🙂  Here are today’s domains. Click to see current prices.

Geritech.com  A fancy way of naming a company that makes gadgets for old people.  20 years old

WZLM.com    18 year CHiP, no WHiP here

WebsiteBackup.com  We just did a big one and a database cleanup last weekend.  By removing the auto saves that have been made over the last 6 years I got rid of 42,000 article saves.  After Travis optimized the database we reduced it from 250Megs to 50 megs.  DSAD should be a little faster now.  Oh….. and nice name

Sizex.com    Most Americans are size XXL

JWW.net  LLL.nets are killing it lately.  This is no different

SmallerCondoms.com  That’s what she said. 14 years old. No bidders.  No value other than humor

Kooker.com  Getting some bids.  Like Cabbage with a K. Its cooker with a K

HeroinRecoveryCenter.com  It’s long but sounds very official. No bidders

HeroinHelp.com  This might just be simpler

53F.com   These are undervalued IMO.  And yet still expensive

DirtyTaco.com  Sounds like a low end strip club

GZJY.net  Not sure why this one is so high.  Can someone splain me?   Is it just because the city code GZ

DKGM.net   This one isn’t as high.  K is for killing the price

Yaoben.com  These Chinese names/words have been getting incredible prices

CCCBJ.com  Nice to see these getting near $100.  Has to start somewhere

822712.com   I’m guessing $400ish

DYWG.cc  If you’re looking to build an LLLL.cc portfolio.  Anyone doing that?  Didn’t think so

611683.com  Another 6N with no zeros or 4s.

DreamTab.com  Gets 750 visits a month if you believe Godaddy

OldGameNews.com  A PR 4 with over 8K backlinks

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

ProteinPowders.com  A very big name.  People spend millions on protein powders to make protein shakes.

LegalTender.com  Reserve met at $650.  Seems like a good price for this one

THW.cc   Reserve is met and it just crossed four figures.

AZZZZ.com   Reserve met. Will be interesting to see how this finishes out for all the 5L.com

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

SWH.com  22 years old.   Not only an LLL.com but an old one

Miaro.com  Another first name.    I think it makes a nice brand.  A few bidder

FishingCabins.com  I would have passed over this one but its an older name and in the Midwest, people put a lot of money into these things to go ice fishing.  Crazy world

RMRP.com  Every other.  I like these and these types of WHiPs seem to sell for more than average

HolidayDinner.com  The one time a year where the whole family gets together and sits down.  Can’t get any better than that

PerfectModel.com Build it and I will come

Either.org  Either or

Norus.com  A nice 5N.com  Already sounds like drug company

YTE.com  So many good names on the board today.

Admirers.com   Nice dating site.  Much better than TheyJustWantToSleepWithYou.com   the generic form

  1. Hey Shane, a littke confused by your post. Are you sayin you heard that there are only 45k 5L.com chips left?

  2. Might want to change the order of the sentences in the ‘smaller….com’ domain, lol. Or at least say the name is 18 years old.

  3. I don’t think we are anywhere near a 5l.com chip buyout happening.
People who have scanned regularly have been saying there around 32% left give or take.
The rate of regs has increased in recent days but nothing huge yet.

In short, some way to go for a rush on 5l.com chips IMO.

    1. Joel,

I agree with you that I was wrong on the amount. I misheard the info. I would be surprised if we didn’t see a CHiP sellout before the end of the year. But then comes renewal 🙂
