DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, Feb 4th

Escrow.com

OK.  I have some more news to share about what I am seeing in the auction markets.  One, LLLL.orgs are dead in the water.  I know some people that took a chance on them but that one looks to be a loser.  I am announcing the first casualty in the LLLL market.  Two, the NNLL is dying.  Good patterns and good letter combos are getting great price and moving up but average or common are getting low to no bids.  Three, the LLLL.coms that are on the lower end are starting to be put out to paster aka auction.  People want to get their $300 while they can.  Will it drop from here?  Just depends. There seems to be plenty of people willing to take them at $250 to $300 right now.  If they all get swallowed up then it goes higher.  It may take a drop in price to get them all into new hands. Only time will tell. But I see it happening this week.  But the amount is small enough it could be one guy so its not a real trend although some less informed people may try and make it a trend

And finally, just as I originally thought. The best numbers, the best patterns, and the best letters are flying higher. They are disproportionally higher in price than others.  Some 6N.coms are higher than 5N.coms without 4s or zeros.  People want the best and are willing to pay more for it.  It is starting to show in short domains.  All boats floats but people are shopping for yachts.  Common boats are common. Here are todays names. Click to see current prices.

Zirconium.com  Absolutely my sixth favorite element.  Especially when you cubic it.  Saves me tens of thousands

Fluorine.com   One of my least favorite chemical element.  Every time I breath it I feel like I’m going to die

Cadmium.com  I love this element.  Especially when its made into those chocolate eggs. edit  I’ve been told that’s Cadbury

GreatHands.com I was the high bidder 7 days ago which is like leading the marathon at mile 2.  18 years old

3SB.com  Has one bid at $850.  Worth more than that IMO

TheKingdom.com  Religion, castles, or lions

YNames.com  One bidder at $12. I thought it was a good name for somebody that liked Y

LLPS.com  Without even going to the auction I knew this had a reserve because the bids were so low. That red band is a price killer.  People hate reserves.  They love to think they are getting a deal on an expired name

2K9.com  Not my kind of name but they sell.  And they sell for good money

MRQ.biz  12 years old.  Pretty old for a dot biz.  Its been around that long but most people started dropping heavily a few years ago.  Three figures already

VRVT.com  The V should buy the R a drink for making it valuable (Virtual Reality)

BYEI.com ,HEBZ.com OTVP.com  AVGT.com, EWXV.com TQIY.com, IGVM.com PUQP.com A nice little collection of towards the bottom value LLLL.com  Or at least I think they are.  Maybe not BYEI ,  some decent letters there

767999.com  Getting a great bid.  The triple patterns continue to astonish.  Somebody doesn’t think these are going down anytime soon.  I believe I will be a bidder…..maybe

Fax.cc  Less and less people use faxes everyday but they need a service to transition.  Good name for it

14255.com  5N.com.  Let’s just move quickly past the 4

CMCM.net  If you are going to do the 10% rule that most of the other LLLL.nets are selling at then this absolutely should be over $1000.  If it’s not I am going to think about buying it.  Or I am going short on the rest of the LLLL.nets. Except I own none so that might be difficult

DaCloud.com  I get it.  Not sure I want a ghetto cloud service though

DRRB.net, RGJJ.net, MLPG.net   A few more LLLL.nets

819159.com  Level 3 6N.com  I may release the Domain Shane Level guide some time.  It’s eternal for now

7778881.com   I can’t believe it but I am looking hard at this one.  Don’t own one single 7N.com but hard to look past this special pattern

BBBDW.com  There are people putting triple repeating 5L.com portfolios together

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

Mobile.ly  We are going to talk extensively about dot LY on DomainSherpa Monday.  This works fairly well with ly

JSDJ.net, NYLD.net, and RRPD.net

VapeStar.com  They say the website is making $900 plus a month.  Due Diligence

Sell.org   The word Sell goes pretty well with any tld

Cards.org   Credit not greeting

Trialed.com I agree that this is a solid review site.  Give stuff away in exchange for honest feedback.  Not a very new concept I guess

0rlandoFlorida.com  That o in orlando is actually a zero.  Should take this down.  Confusing and I think seller is trying to deceive.  They even try to remove a comment asking if it was a ZERO.  I hate this type of stuff

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

DTP.com  Great letters and will eventually sell for six figures.  Eventually gives me plenty of time

CancerAmerica.com  Perfect name to start a charitable. I already feel like raising money for them. No bidders

EatGood.com Well, not good, well

85756.com   An 8 is nice.  And 5 numbers is nice.  So I’m going with it’s nice

XNH.net, KQT.net, YTZ.net    Today’s little group of LLL.net  for all you little net buyers

HarborLanding.com  No bidders.  Upgrade name for a lot of places. Reach out and flip

NewYorkDuiLawyer.com Long but yet tons of bidders and they get used all the time

CarBling.com Only one bidder.  I think people are being carbling and not seeing Car Bling

BBLB.net  If you’re going to buy a LLLL.net this would be a good direction to go

CoolingCompany.com  No bidders. For $69 its a great name for a heating and air company

StartupInternships.com   I love interns. Real work for low pay.  Whoever invented this whole “for the experience” thing deserves an award.

Lanteri.com  A last name so you know what that means.  It means that things will be named this because people love to name stuff after themselves

  1. In this market the actual numbers, patterns, and length of domain can be more important than even domain extension. Within an extension, pattern and numbers can be more important than length.

  2. I believe there is wisdom to be found from an old saying many men have used in the past to boost their confidence:

“It’s not the size of the boat but the motion of the ocean”

I guess that applies to domains as well. Patterns and placement count.

  3. NNLL.com are by far more developed than their LLNN.com counterpart. The market can be irrational at times.
