DSAD: Shane’s Big List of Domain Auctions for Monday the 14th

Escrow.com

Today’s the last Sherpa of the year until we meet again at NamesCon.  Of all the things I do in domaining, writing this list and being on that show are by far the most fun.  In both cases I can have a good time, share a little, and learn a lot.  Thanks to all that have taken the time to comment and and give some kind words.  The comments are the only way we know what to change and what to keep doing.  I’d also like to send a big welcome and thank you to Josh, the newest member of the DSAD team.  He’s been writing the new Recap each day and doing a heck of a job.  Aaron and I were lucky to find Aaron 2 to do it and I can’t believe we found another person that does a great job as well.  In fact he may be a better domain investor than I am.  Some of the things he’s investing in and doing are killing it.  Alway great to see all the ways and styles of investing that can be profitable in this industry.  I’m not going anywhere, just starting to get my thank yous, Merry Christmases, and happy holidays in. Here are today’s domains. Click for current prices.
.
JBF.net   Since this is now at $80K plus name then 5% is $4K plus.  Getting close. 18 years old
.
CreditSolution.com  17 years old.  Credit terms have a nice CPC and this one has some age.  Would like the plural much better
.
NegotiationTips.com  Probably could write a whole site about this.  17 years old and one bidder at $12
.
SeatBelts.com  Every car has them.  I’m not sure there is a aftermarket for seatbelt but all the bidders think something can be done with the name
.
TSKG.com   Tuskegee.  I’m probably the only one that sees that in the name. Everyone else see $2K
.
98188.net  A fine 5 number dot net if that’s your thing. And its becoming more and more people’s things
.
RXJC.com  The original registrant probably registered it because RX stands for doctor or pharmacy.  Now the value has nothing to do with it. Nobody cares how you got it right.  They only care that you got it right
.
JJ30.com  10 years old. Certainly easy to remember.  That’s 75% of the purpose of a domain
.
BK28.com  Not as memorable or as old but the 8 brings out the crushes
.
HH45.com While we’re still talking LLNNs.   Has a 4 but again, very memorable
.
FGG.co  I’ve released dot co from my “don’t ever buy it” category.  They are being bought and sold and officially have a good market in the high two figures plus.   That’s enough for me to start getting in for a flip
.
XGX.co  Another one.  It’s a perfect Chinese name and a horrible English one (albeit easy to remember)
.
KRZX.com  Looks at LLLLSales.com over the last few days and you’ll see CHiPs are now all over $2K again and climbing
.
HHRX.com  The double H should add 10% or so.  End user H & H Pharmacy.  And there is such a place in Virginia
.
MLKV.com   This should be above the floor price because of the three letters to the left of the V
.

STX.biz  You may have heard the CHiP LLLL.biz sold out this week
.
HSWJ.net, CTDG.net, CXJM.net, JGZC.net   Are four dot nets that have already hit 3 figures
.
892633.com  The entire list at Godaddy and only one numeric.  There was NOTHING today, nothing
.
Coin88.com  Two hot “keywords”   Bitcoin’s recent price rise has it back in focus and you can never go wrong with 88
.
699910.com  One bidder at $20
.
FoodTruck.net  Coming up tomorrow.  The rise of the food truck across the nation makes this a big name….even for a dot net
.
Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)
.
777.io   If numeric dot io continue to climb this is one of the best you can have

CDNH.com  Worldwide premium.  Not getting much action but per usual, the real action is at the end

HoverboardFireExtinguisher.com   Just kidding, made this one up.  May be able to hand reg. To lazy to look

XAFI.com  Officially a CVCV.  15 years old

GYGX.com  I’ve said this a few times. I just like the letter G.  The Chinese seem to like it as well.  This one is doing well
.
FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM
.

Soft.com   As seen on the Sherpa show today.   Everyone agrees its a six figure name to someone
.
DrPC.com   21 years old.  Great computer repair or software name.  Always worth money as a premium LLLL.com
.
Nigga.com   I see the cultural relevance but the reserve is $10K plus.  Somebody in the music industry will probably buy this. Racist term to most, but they seem to have no problem with it in music
.
Scored.com  Not sure I like the past tense here.   Tinder trophy or review page?   “fairly attractive, great conversation, two drinks required, would screw again.  4 stars”
.
TVNY.com  NYTV would obviously be better but still a nice NY television name.  Or again, always value as a premium
.
SoloDesign.com  Seemed like a nice name so I Googled it.  Upgrade name for a few dozen companies
.
ZDH.net  Wouldn’t be a Namejet list without a three letter dot net with a Z
.
WXFP.com  Used to be just sad old radio station call letters and now its wearing the crown of a world wide premium name
.
RoyallyFucked.com  Would be a fun build out.  A whole site of people in situations that are going to hurt to get out of.  Kind of like the people with four word dot nets
.
LNSD.com  Worldwide awesomeness. OK maybe not awesome but a nice name to have in the old coffers
.
BCNL.com  Incredible, game changing name.  I’m still getting a little carried away.  Good English acronym letters
.
EVVV.com  All the Vs you can eat
.
84H.com   Nice CCC.com but there is a reserve.  Namejet’s reserves are broad.  This one is between 1K and 10K which is a pretty big range
.
PinkLace.com  Nice brand for the ladies.  And a few of the boys
.
SunnyRoom.com  I Googled it because I thought it sounded like a nice brand.  The results were pretty much all ads for Air BnB.  So using that I am going to say its good for a rental site
.
FindEvents.com  A great name to help people…..I guess its pretty obvious
.
BirthdayAlerts.com  It would be helpful but Facebook does the same thing.  If the girls would quite lying about their age though, it would be helpful
.
Mirle.com  A village in India and a 5L.com
.
SeniorServices.com  An upgrade name for quite a few companies.  With an aging America this name is growing in value IMO
.
Boxscore.com  My favorite name on the list today.  So many sport uses
.
ManagementOnline.com  I used to think it was crazy to add the word online to a domain.  Of course its online, its a domain. But then I see the sales.  So many names sell with online in the title
.
Precil.com   First and last name.  Also a Chinese company name (operating on a com.cn)

.

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. 1. Shane…Love your list and use it daily. BUT…we all know 4L’s are hot and will sell. Almost anyone in the game searches for these daily. It’s a waste of pixels to highlight them on your list, and yet it is the majority of your list many days. How about using all your great experience and expertise for the less obvious buys? Just a thought, keep up the good work.

    1. Hugh,

One thing to remember is I make a living from commissions if someone buys these. It is a balance of finding names that are “hidden gems” and names that are good investments. I promise I don’t skip over names I think you could buy and resell in a decent amount of time. And I waste a ton of pixels on a lot of different things depending on who you ask. I do appreciate the comment and will try and dig deeper but I’m probably going to keep doing what I’ve done for the last 7 years. Putting up names that I think offer value as an investment. It changes month to month, year to year. Sorry to have wasted your time.

  2. Shane,
As you know Giuseppe Graziano wrote an article about the success I have had in domain names this year. You have contributed to that success as much as anyone. I can not thank you enough for sharing with all of us what you do. I hope you and your family have a HAPPY and HEALTHY MERRY CHRISTMAS.
    Cheers

    1. Ken,

What you’ve done is nothing short of amazing. To include me as a part is flattering. Sounds like I didn’t waste your pixels as much as I did for Hugh? Look forward to talking more at Namescon.

  3. Wow, how old are you? I never said you wasted my time. In fact I told you how much I enjoyed and valued your site (and list) by visiting often, usually daily. A simple explanation, like how you get a commission would have been adequate. Honestly, you come off looking very unprofessional, especially when you can’t resist the urge to take another shot in the subsequent post. I had a lot more respect for you when this day started. I simply offered a suggestion, but you obviously weren’t mature enough to take it. My mistake, it wont happen again.

    1. Hugh,

I’m having some fun. If you’ve read my posts over the years you can see I lack maturity. I wouldn’t say I’m unprofessional but I wouldn’t say I was professional either. Again, just having fun with your comments and the term “wasting pixels” was too good to pass up. I use the David Letterman, Kevin Hart technique of comedy. You keep coming back to something until its funny. Or stop when it never is. Hopefully no hard feelings.
