I finally arrived in Las Vegas 2 hours ago after half a day of travel. I go for the full planes, trains and automobiles experience when I travel and I’m always amazed when I get to my destination without any problems. Not that I expect there to be any specific problems, but making in through Amtrak, Septa, and airport security, Uber, successfully leaves me feeling a sense of accomplishment.
I think a successful trip makes me feel like I’ve conquered the world because in the same day I discovered that my dumb ass booked a hotel in the wrong city. I’m not sure If I booked the room on my phone and didn’t see all the words, if I was half asleep, or just generally incompetent, but for some reason in November I booked the Atlantic City Tropicana for Namescon. While it was a good room deal, I really can’t afford to fly back and forth every day from Atlantic City to Las Vegas during Namescon.
So I guess the take away here is twofold: Celebrate your success, like my flawless 4 stage travel today, and don’t tell anyone when you book a room in the wrong timezone and don’t realize it till the day you’re supposed to check in. I meant learn from your mistakes and check the details.
