As you can see its always a good idea to wear safety glasses everywhere you go. You never know when something will hit you in the fricken eye. Don’t worry about the strange looks you’ll get wearing safety glasses to the movie theater or grocery shopping, your eye sight is worth it.
I should have worn safety glasses last night while I was fishing. I got snagged on a rock gave it a yank and the lead weight came flying back and hit me in right in the eye. Obviously we kept fishing for another 4 hours, when I got home and looked at the eye I thought to myself, “well jeez, I should probably get that checked”. I haven’t done that yet, I can see fine for the most part, though it looks like bugs are crawling up the wall in my periphery, but every time I look the damn things are gone.
