Domain Spotlight:

Escrow.com

Supplement.io  is listed below in the Flippa section.  I’m gonna bust the sellers balls a little bit, but in doing so the name will get more exposure.

I typed in the url to make sure that it redirected to the auction page, it didn’t. Instead it redirected to a Godaddy default landing page. It’s not even a sales lander, I think Goddady has a sales parked page, but I’m not sure.

Trying to sell a domain and not having a sales lander seems crazy too me, maybe it’s just an oversight.  Hopefully this will serve as a reminder to  double check your domains, especially if you’ve listed the name for auction and have paid a listing fee.

Another thing I found, while trying to find the link to the Flippa auction page, is that searching for the domain in the Flippa search box doesn’t render any results unless I specifically select domains. I initially tried searching under “all assets” and no results were returned. I have know idea why this happens, but it sucks.  Basically this for sale domain, in an auction with a listing fee is nearly impossible to find.

So the learning points for the day: remember to set up a landing page, and never use Flippa to sell a domain. I’m joking about flippa (sorta), I’ve never had success with the platform, but I know it’s good for certain types of domains.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

    1. Josh,

I think you are starting to get a little too good at photoshop. I’m using your pictures to see how I would look with different beards and hairstyles

      1. You do make a fine looking Amishman. I actually use picmonkey most of the time. Thanks, they really only take me a few minutes. Let me know if you have any particular requests.

  1. Hey Josh, Thanks for the feedback on Supplement.io. I had the domain at an Efty LP, but was under the impression that once I had it at auction and had bids, that I was obligated to sell. So I removed it from EFTY, Afternic, Etc.

Should I redirect it to the auction page?

    1. yeah, you can go into the godaddy control panel and forward the domain to the auction page. Say I know someone that might be interested in the name and I tell them it’s at auction. The first thing they’re going to do is type it into the browser. Even if they go to flippa right away, they might have trouble finding the name just like I did. Your goal should be to streamline the process as much as possible, remove any steps that might cause a potential buyer to get lost.
