Apparently it’s snowing at home, I got school Robo call telling me that my daughter has a two hour delay. It’s too bad I have to miss the snow and deal with the 70 degree weather here in Vegas.
That’s one of the benefits of going to Namescon, the break from winter weather. One of the worst parts of Namescon is the huge bathroom mirrors in the hotel. For me there’s no better weight loss tool than a giant mirror to look at my fat ass as I get out of the shower. I need to get one at home to motivate me to work out and eat better. Sometimes I spend too much time sitting in front of the computer, I need to start moving around more.

I’m thinking all the Mountain Dew can’t help .. but as I get older I find just exercise isn’t enough .. before I got Steamie I used to run .. and before that I used to rollerblade .. but in the last 2.5 years since getting the little guy I’ve gained a good 25 pounds.

What’s worse is that from Spring to Fall I walk Steamie a good 40-50km a week at least .. way more than that when it’s actually nice out. I also walk 2km each way to/from my work’s parking (there’s a shuttle bus from there).

At least my dog was was of the most fit Hot Dogs you’ll ever meet until he got very sick in November. Since then he wasn’t able to do much a few weeks and as soon as it might have been possible this year’s early superchill came in .. he’s gained a good 2 pounds .. which doesn’t sound like much .. but he was 13 pounds before getting sick. Looking forward to when it warms up a bit and we can get going again … but for me I think I’m going to have to start running once again .. not sure where I’m going to find the time though? :-/
