Domain Spotlight:

Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday, February 26th, 2021

Escrow.com

Two big domains sold yesterday day. Bird.com ($2.5 million) and Fish.com ($1.6 million) . But a Beeple digital art piece sold for $6 million and his Christie auction is already at $2 million. I know that I would MUCH rather own two amazing domains rather than the precedent-setting art pieces. It’s a no brainer. And I think that the sales of these NFTs are actually increasing the value of domains. There is no better digital asset than domains. Every single one is unique. More unique that a 1500 run digital art piece. Or a 150000 run basketball screenshot. Its functional and defining. All that being said, I have once again found a way not to make a million dollars. I had a Beeple and a Dead Mau and sold them both because I made $10K . Now they are worth six figures between the two. I see, I know, I bail at profit. I’ve never learned. But I have now. The problem only being I have no money because I am leaving it sit. See, that was why I never made money yet touched everything. Because I would sell, do something else, sell. A little in everything, never a lot. Yet, I always have been able to find the “next best thing”. Except I don’t have the confidence to ride the wave to shore because I am afraid of over riding the wave. You know the look where the guy had a great wave but rides it too long and now he’s wiggling his back leg to get the momentum to ride that little leftover wave. He looks silly now when he was so cool a few minutes ago. I’ll let you know in 12 months if I was able to take the wave to shore, had to wiggle ride, or hit a rock.

Domain of the Day: DMMG.com Great letters and should be over 4 figures by the end

Quote of the Day: Great things are not accomplished by those who yield to trends and fads and popular opinion. -J. Kerouac

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

  1. How come no one is talking about selling domains via nft?

Seems to be a ready market with deep pockets.

Or am I understanding how it works wrong?

  2. I’ve been thinking the same thing. All these people are chasing random digital “assets”…when do they get on board with domains? GymEquipment.com for $18,000 or random video of a basketball player?

The downside is they run up a bunch of junk domains and ruin people’s impression of them when it all crashes down.
