Listed below are updates on the top ten domain sales from a year again, as ranked by DN Journal.

1. Jade.com sold for $1,250,000

This huge sale was an upgrade from JadeMineResources.com, which is where Jade.com is still redirected. Interestingly, the company completed a private placement to raise funds specifically for the domain acquisition. The CEO said at the time, “We are extremely pleased to announce our plans to acquire JADE.COM; this could significantly expand our customer reach by developing a strong platform for the global trade of jade.”  The company, “is a natural resource company in British Columbia (BC) focussing on nephrite jade mining and exploration.”

2. YK.com sold for $900,000

No site resolves, and the domain is owned by an individual in China.

3. Promotion.com sold for $315,000

The domain redirects to Costway.com, which is an eCommerce site selling everything from furniture to electronics to pet supplies. “Celebrating its 8th anniversary, Costway is growing to be one of the top retailers in North America and Europe.”

4. ADA.com sold for $200,000

The site describes itself as a “personal health companion app designed by a dedicated team of doctors and computer scientists.“. It’s the traffic leader for the week, with its Alexa rank near 600,000. The company has offices in London and Berlin, and is further describes as follows, from its LinkedIn profile, “Ada is the future of healthcare. The foundation of Ada is an A.I. Engine using bespoke probabilistic reasoning technology which has been developed by our in-house experts over the past six years, culminating in an intelligent symptom-checker that allows people to better manage their health with access to personalised medical information. “

5. OrganicBaby.com sold for $168,000

Domain is parked and under privacy protection.

6. Bookkeeping.com sold for $150,000

This is an additional domain and website for the small business consulting company that has its home at BLIinc.com. “BLI provides a full-service solution that fills the unique needs of small businesses by offering a simplified package to encompass differing needs.” The site has an Alexa rank near 3.3 million.

6. ForexBrokers.com sold for $150,000

“Our mission is to provide unbiased reviews and ratings for forex brokers and help traders find the best broker for their needs. We’ve helped tens of thousands of investors open a new brokerage account.” The site has an Alexa rank near 1.4 million. The domain is owned by Michigan-based Reink Media Group, which owns other sites such as StockBrokers.com and StockTrader.com.

6. NeverFail.com sold for $150,000

This is a clever name for the Austin, Texas-based hosting provider, which was previously known as Artisan Infrastructure. “Neverfail provides continuously available cloud solutions across the globe and operates data centers in the United States and Europe.” The site has an Alexa rank near 1.5 million.

9. PAH.com sold for $115,000

This domain is redirected to PlatformSpecialtyProducts.com, and they acquired the domain associated with their “PAH” NYSE ticker symbol. The company currently has a market cap near $3.8 billion. Based in Florida, the company is, “a global, diversified producer of high technology specialty chemical products and provider of technical services.

10. HOX.com sold for $100,000

The domain currently redirects to Tap4Fun.com, so I’m guessing either a rebrand or new game is in the works. “Tap4fun (Chengdu Nibirutech Inc) was founded in March, 2008 and located in Chengdu Tianfu Software Park Zone A. It’s a joint-stock company transformed from Chengdu Nibirtutech Ltd. Kevin and five other stockholders initiated and founded our company. Currently, the main business of the company focuses on developing, operating and investing mobile online games.

10. Sniper.com sold for $100,000

This was an upgrade from SniperElite4.com, which is where the shorter domain is still redirected. “Sniper Elite 4 is the next game in the award-winning, chart-topping shooter series. Sniper Elite 4 combines genre-defining ballistics, breathless emergent stealth, and gripping third person action across the largest and most diverse environments ever seen in a Sniper Elite game.”
