1. QNB.com sold for $1,000,000
Who would’ve thunk that an LLL.com with a Q would have sold for a cool million. You’ve gotta know who you’re negotiating with, and it helps to be an unmotivated seller. In this case, the buyer was Qatar National Bank, and the seller was QNB Bank, a bank based in Pennsylvania that appears to have 11 branches. The buyer is using the domain as an upgrade from QNB.com.qa. The domain is the traffic leader for the week by a long shot, with its Alexa rank near 35,000.
“Qatar National Bank (QNB Group) was established in 1964 as the country’s first Qatari-owned commercial bank, has an ownership structure split between the Qatar Investment Authority (50%) and the private sector (50%). QNB currently operates in more than 27 countries across 3 continents. “
2. Apps.mobi sold for $20,000
The domain is parked, and Whois shows that the owner is the same Addora.com that is listed as the seller in last year’s DN Journal post, so the domain may not have sold.
2. Chairman.com sold for $20,000
A Domain Holdings for-sale lander is live, and looking back at an email newsletter from April, the asking price was $50,000.
2. RestaurantUniforms.com sold for $20,000
According to Whois information, the current owner is end user Paragon Uniform and Apparel, of New York City, yet the domain is parked.
5. Newe.com sold for $15,700
No site resolves; owned by an individual in China.
6. 5941.com sold for $15,697
Owned by an individual in China, you can see the placeholder below, but there is no additional page to navigate to.
7. QXN.com sold for $12,101
Alas, this LLL with a Q didn’t fare nearly as well as QNB above. This domain is currently owned by an individual in China, and it forwards to JinMiBa.com, which lists various domains for sale.
8. SpeedSchools.com sold for $11,780
The .com was picked up by the .org, which is where the domain is forwarded.

9. Eyoo.com sold for $11,000
“eyoo helps you finding people around you sharing your passions like sports, special interests or other hobbies. You see profiles of people nearby who are passionate for the same one thing as possible.” The site has an Alexa rank near 2.7 million.
10. Deerberg.com sold for $10,000
An upgrade from the .de, which is where the .com is redirected. A women’s fashion site.
10. ITMagazine.com sold for $10,000
You get what you would expect at the site, and they’re starting to get some traffic, based on their Alexa rank near 1 million. “Your Source For Latest Technology News“
10. LittleLetter.com sold for $10,000
A site which describes its purpose as follows, “Everyone’s little stories delivered directly by email.” Alexa rank near 8.6 million.
Measuring the website traffic by Alexa is like appraising a domain with Estibot, I mean worthless.
Who is measuring the traffic by their Alexa rank? Not me.
1) When one site has an Alexa rank near 35,000, and the next closest is near 1 million, I’m comfortable saying the one with 35,000 is the traffic leader for the week.
2) When a site has an Alexa rank near 1 million, I’m comfortable saying “they’re starting to get some traffic”.
