So George Kirikos dug up that Rally Road was going to start offering fractional domain ownership. He read their SEC paperwork and saw what they had told them they were going to do. We all knew it was coming and some had tried but going through the legal requirements had been too difficult for everyone that had ever tried. But Rally Road has been through all this and were the natural fit to get it done. And they did. And they teamed up with Drew Rosener, JT, and Chris of Media Options to do it. Again, the perfect people to do it with.
I think its going to be a big deal. It will not only let people buy into domains but it will showcase how valuable domains can be. They will presented as a digital asset. An asset you and I knew had real value but to the general public it means something when Rally Road says its a valuable asset. It legitimizes it even more.
Some think it will provide liquidity but I don’t think there will be enough names sold through the site to provide much liquidity to anyone but Media Options. Which is deserved because they are the ones that brought it to the table and are making this happen. And we all win here.
Domain of the Day: His.co Most bids on the Godaddy board today. It’s a man’s world. Not really but my wife’s away so I can pretend.
Quote of the Day: “Beautiful things don’t ask for attention.”

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Super interesting info on Rally Road with Media Options- can’t wait to see how this plays out!

I’ve been getting into photography. I’m taking provocative pictures of my 40 year old wife. She likes the fact that I’m the one taking the photos, instead of some creepy stranger, because my wife knows I’m not trying to sleep with her.
