I apologize to you all for the super short list today. I had the perfect storm of things. I am driving to go see my daughter graduate from Syracuse. I know it seems like she was just in High School and I can remember vividly the day we dropped her off at college. My heart has never hurt so bad. Literal pain. I have never missed anything so much in my life. I didn’t know how I could go on without her in the house. I literally went home, sat on her bed and cried. I remember saying “she’s not going to be here to tuck her in, to say I love you every night, or do things with”. It would never be the same. And it hasn’t been. But its been good. Watching her succeed and find herself. Its hard not being able to help her through difficult situations but part of growing up is dealing with them yourself. It took a year for my heart to stop hurting. I still miss her every day but I get to talk to her and face time her. And its going to be great to see her. Its a terrible time to leave the nursery as its the busiest its ever been but this is way more important. But because of the nursery I hadn’t packed or prepared for the trip. I also had a board meeting for my charity organization that had to happen. So I didn’t even get to site down to write this until 9:20 and I still have to pack, prepare some things for work and then get up at 4 am. So thus its short.
