A great domain only reaches its full potential with a great company behind it. A great company only reaches its full potential with a great domain in front of it. A domain on its own has only potential. Perhaps it makes a little money in parking revenue but to completely realize its value there has to be a business that can utilize it for marketing. Domains are powerups in their marketing campaign. Some domains are so good they are the business. The focus. Some are just force multipliers.
On the contrary, a business can succeed and thrive with a poor domain. But they could be even better with a premium domain. They can’t always be more profitable. Some businesses don’t have the revenue or revenue model to be able to afford a million-dollar domain but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be better with it. They would be better, it just doesn’t make financial sense…….yet.
As I work with companies it’s generally not my job to teach them how to run their company. I merely let them know how it can help and get in their brain so when they finally figure it out they come back to me. That’s hoping their competitor or some other company didn’t figure it out first.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
“At first, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos called his e-commerce company Cadabra Inc. He and his wife were also crazy about relentless.com. He then came up with the name Aard, with the intention of making it to the top of alphabetical lists. Finally, Bezos settled on Amazon.” (from the Reader’s Digest article You’ll Never Guess What Amazon Was Almost Called—and Why They Had to Change the Name).
