Well, I jacked that one up yesterday, didn’t I. I put the GoDaddy names from the day before instead of Friday’s names. Which is crazy because my favorite name in months Pedal.com, was up for auction. You think I would have noticed that it wasn’t on the list. But nope.
I was doing the list a few days ahead, and I got the dates wrong. I have been super busy at Winterline and with Winterline Capital, which is my own investment company. It does some small checks, VC investing, and manages my own stock portfolio. Which is killing it since it’s primarily energy and AI infrastructure.
As for Pedal.com, I put in a bid for $105K and went and hiked Mt. Elbert. I won’t lie. I checked the auction a few times while hiking when I had service. Per usual, I was the high bidder until the end, when I wasn’t. It ended at $122K and I thought about moving my bid up but I changed my mind when I told my wife about buying Pedal and she said “like the flower”. Meaning Petal. Then I thought about Peddle as well. I am still not denying its an incredible name and worth hundreds of thousands. But if I am going to lay out six figures for a domain I want clarity when I say it. Of course I still have remorse 😂
