Shane’s List of Domains at Auction for Friday, June 26th, 2026

I could not have put this any better except add class 0.

If you are a manager or just work with people, you know there are several different types when it comes to problems. This chart identifies each type perfectly. When I first started my business, I had zeros. They were the people who actually caused the problems. It evolved to 50% ones, and the rest moved up the scale. The best people I had were 5s. They were the ones that you would give up some of your own pay and profits to keep. They make your life so much better.

I evaluate my partners and employees along these lines. If we have a problem how do the handle it? If not, were they paid to handle it? You have to be fair about expectations and rewards. In some cases it’s great to have people merely point out the problems and make you aware before the problem gets worse. After that, it comes down to expectations. There are just some people who get shit done. I’ve had summer college help who were much better than many of my managers Smarter, harder working, and problem solvers. But they were going to go one to be leaders and take roles that paid 10X what our managers were making. I was merely a summer job that was close and fun.

If anything this chart made me respect all the 5s I’ve worked with over the years. I texted a few and thanked them right after I wrote this. You should do the same. Not my coworkers and partners, yours. πŸ˜ƒ
