There is a reason why everyone wants a stablecoin. It’s a license to print free money. You issue the coin, take the money, and put it into some government-backed security with yield, and keep some of the yield. If backed by a well-known, stable company, this is an “easy” win and implementation for the company.
Even PayPal’s stablecoin, which nobody considers successful, has about $2.8B outstanding, and assuming they get a 4% yield, they’re still going to make over $100M in profit. Not a small sum.
You will continue to see more and more companies create their own stablecoins. There is no reason not to.
I think it’s a matter of time before you see registrars creating one and giving discounts to those who use it and rewards to those who hold it. GoDaddy could announce one, and I’m pretty sure their stock would go up. It’s completely legal with the new laws.
Also OUSD the new Open Standard Stablecoin, lets partners participate. Shopify, Stripe, Mastercard and 160 other partners will use it
On a side note. Wanted to say I appreciate all the kind emails over the years that keep coming in. Travis and I put a lot of work into this each day. The sponsors you see around are the reason we can keep doing this and make it worth our time. Hopefully you’ve made a profit off some of these names and had a few laughs and ponders from this mish mash I write every day. After 16 years of sharing my thoughts there have been some bad takes but some pretty solid ones as well

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
