Yesterday I had the potato chip equivalent of new gTLDs. Lays potato chips wasn’t satisfied with hundreds of millions of dollars in sales in the snack food market. They want new flavors, new sales. So out comes Cappuccino flavored potato chips. Everyone loves coffee right? Somebody evidently approves the flavor and off to the shelves they go. And not one case sells. I know this because I know the stocker and he has to take back 9 of 10 cases from every store because they are just sitting there. Maybe it just sounds disgusting. It’s not for everyone but theres going to be a niche market for it right? Not even close. I took two cases and brought them into work to see how they tasted and what others thought. 100% unanimous. The most disgusting food ever launched in potato chip history. Not just bad, but spit it out bad. Coffee flavoring has its limits. It compare it to the new gTLDs because like many of the new gTLDs weren’t needed nor well received. Here are today’s names.
